A solution called "Micro Sol" softens these decals and helps them conform to surfaces. Also, you can make a template to pre-cut for the curved surfaces by covering the controller with masking tape then drawing lines wherever there is an edge or some place that will need to be cut (holes for buttons/sticks, for example). Try to peel it off in one piece then make strategic cuts to get the template to lay mostly flat. Trace that design as your template and layout your artwork to avoid those cuts.

Thanks buster, I filmed my persona 5 themed controller but the footage didn't come out good, I was so sad. This controllers footage came out good but the controller wasn't as good.

Not sure if you've seen any of my other stuff I've posted on social media, but some of my other systems using this technique/method have come out VERY VERY GOOD. I just never got good footage of those customs for a video and this one was the only one with good footage. Please consider checking out more of my work
