How To Add Extensions To Your Dreadlocks 

If you make smaller pulling, and faster movement, it will be faster. 20 minutes for few inches of attachment is quite long. :) I usually take 5 min per dread attachment. :) and no oils on fresh attachment, it makes hair more slippery. Just palm roll :) Your hair is amazing. ^_^

Elise, you've inspired my look so much that recently I decided to have extensions put into my locks as well.. and you are right, having the extra length is so nice, and it is almost like having fairytale princess dreads! I just wanted to thank you so much again for your style & inspiration.. it is possible to be modern, but retro, a hippie, girly, and beautiful all at the same time. That's how I see it anyway.

You are the most strikingly gorgeous people I've ever seen! I'm doing research because I want to put dreads in my hair. I really like how your hair has grown out enough that it's kind of soft on the top but then you have the dreads falling around. Cannot only be achieved by growing them out or can one put dreads and not all the way to the root? It's probably a really stupid question but frankly I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't know a single person who has dreadlocks. But they are calling me and have been for years and my hair is very curly and tries to draw it up on its own so I don't think it's going to be very difficult. Thank you for so much information that you've put online it is so incredibly valuable to me because I have zero resources other than The Internet.

When you add extensions will they mature the same as your own hair?

Hi Elise! I want you to know I absolutely admire you! I've been wanting dreads for a long time and you have inspired me to be myself! I'm also a ginger and I'm 2 1/2 weeks into my baby locs! I have a total of 28. I'm wondering is there a way to add some fake dreads to my real ones to add some volume? I do have a lot of hair and they are fairly long. Mine shrunked also sooo mutch! They are half lenghts after a year maturing! Maybe i think also about the extensions.. but i dont know i love the short hair as well ;) they will never be so short like now! Maybe i should enjoy it 😁 But always when i see your hair im not sure if i can wait 😂

can I put mature dreaded human hair extensions into my hair as I'm starting my dread locks? I had such long dreads and chopped it all off after some trauma I experienced...my hair is now 3 to 5 inches and I want to start the process without waiting for length.

What a wonderful video! I have a question for you, how do you keep your loose hair separate from your dreadlocks? And do you have like two rows of loose hair? I have like half a head with dreads and the other half loose hair and it's really difficult to keep it separated. Mostly it's because I can't see it in guess. Have you considered removing the dreads or do you not picture yourself without them now?

I have fine hair, I have 3 pet dreads that are made from back combing, if I want extensions I just buy thinner extensions right so they don’t look off or if I made new dreads do I add the extensions at the root or lower?

Doesnt adding the extentions break the ends of your hair. It really seems damaging to your natural hair.
