You could just use a mask render in cinema 4D mesh and shadows separately and make the post production in after effects to make it much more realistic so you can adjust the refraction of the light or opacity of the objects that will be affected by the light source... You could do some masking on the sails in adobe after effects so that the BG can pass through it adjusting the opacity... Then you can add some Glaussian Blur so that it blends well to its surrounding so the mesh would not appear too sharp... Create another fluid sim/particles then add it as a layer so that the ship has an effect that the fluid is splashing in front while it's moving...
I've just found this channel and I find it unbelievable how a pro like you give away such valuable information on RU-vid! And with high quality professional videos. Really thankful 🙏🏽🙏🏽
That first snip it, those few seconds at the start with the ship and the music playing make it all worth it. It sends you to a beautiful place in your imagination.
Absolutely incredible video. I've played with tracking in C4D and compositing some simple passes such as shadows and AO in AE, but this is lightyears ahead and the difference really shows. Now I've got to up my compositing game, and this video is a perfect intro. Keep up the great work!
I'm shocked your Channel didn't pass 500K yet. You are a Master of C4D! I found your Channel by accident. I freaking binge watched all of your videos. I'm a 2d designer trying to get in to the 3D world. Your work inspired me a lot! Keep up the Awesome work man! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for putting out these condensed and to-the-point tutorials on your workflow. There´s always some new little thing that becomes a part of my approach.
Hey there, Saw your video... Fusion beast here ;) Just a word to say at 18:25 you insert a color corrector, but in you case, you should have tried to use it differently imho... Try to pipe in you BG video AND your ship, then in the CC parameters, instead of Shadows go to Histogram > RGB and under the curve window choose "Match". This way you could tweak things in order to really match the BG video and the ship ;) Like you channel btw, go on, congrats !
hi Andrey, you are an exceptionally creative person. I am always happy to see intelligent people.I am using hitfilm express, not sure how much this is possible. create some more videos. thanks
Thanks mate. Ironically, I don’t have a showreel. Was no need in it for a while. Very good point though, I’ll do a video about my work and will make one! 😄👊🏻
Hey , i enjoyed this a lot . it was a flawless presentation . I hope there are more live action intergration tutorials from you . Cheers from Malaysia .
One of the best tutorials I’ve seen on cgi… you are the man! I’ve been struggling to install Fusion 9 studio here on my machine, it asks for a “dongle” =/
Hi mate! by far you offer the most complete and detailed analysis in the 3D scenario compared to other channels. Congrats and keep up the good work! IF POSSIBLE, would you make a analysis/tutorial of LSD - Audio (Official Video) ft. Sia, Diplo, Labrinth ?
Dammit man, I have had great struggles deciding which 3d software to choose and despite the UI being really ugly and feeling it a bit unintuitive too, I eventually chose 3dsmax...but you are really enticing me to reconsider after 2 years of training hard and learning the software's ins and outs and head over to c4d which appealed to me from the beginning...
hello , i'm new here , i really like your Tutorials , and i hope that you make something for the beginners in this For VFX and tells us about the job titles , tell us plz for every job title you need to learn something ... you know what i mean ... i really love your work thanks Andrey .
17:20 fusion workflow. might want to put software names in the title*. But thank you for having the *icons* in the thumbnail at least and double thanks for showing the final product immediately and not in some random spot inside a half hour video. _almost didn't find this video till i found myself in the fusion hindi language section of youtube for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯_ .
Nice tutorial!!! It would have been nice if you added dynamic lighting to the scene. Having the objects like the laptop, monitor, table with some light bleeding from the ship it would have added a more realistic touch to your final product. I'll keep watching your tutorials. Thanks man
Hi Andrey and thank you for this amazing tutorial! I'm working in R20 Cinema version and using Octane renderer. I'm facing the problem that I can't see background in the octane view port even if I see it in perspective view window. I tried to turn alpha chanel on and off in octane settings but still nothing. Can you give me a hint what should I try or do? Thank you! Miroslav
Thanks for taking the time to make this man, a great streamlined video of everything you need to get started! Can I ask why you chose Fusion instead of Nuke? I'm preparing to move away from After Effects but not sure which one to learn!
Jeb Hardwick hey, thank you for the comment! Fusion is free )) that was the only reason at the time I was choosing. Now I will stay in it as long as it can do everything I need.
сегодняшний рабочий день просто убит просмотром твоего канала) уже подписался на тебя где только можно было. если будет время делать такие шедевры, то выпускай еще.
The question is: why would You even want to record a video, if You managed to create so much in 3D? :D This (joke) aside, the tutorial was tense and absolutely fantastic! Double thumbs up for the professional workflow!
