ctrl + shift + T isnt doimg anything? edit: found a fix, if anyone else has this problem.. to fix it go to edit > preferences > add-ons and search for node wrangler. then u need to click the checkbox to enable it. you also need to do the same with node arrange..
As a Blender noob, this was the most helpful video I have watched on the subject. The pace is perfect and you didn't go into a lot of detail on the 25 different ways to do the same thing as other tutorials do. Thank you so much. Take my sub!!
When I cntrl-shift-t I can navigate to the textures folder but as soon as I do, it goes away and says no matching images found even though all 4 images are in that folder. If I go select them from the upper left navigation, I don't know how to add them in using that button in your tut.
can you check at 3:33 that you select the BSDF then use the short cut keys? second the add on is selected and checked as well. If you have not selected the BSDF then the texture will not be shown even if you select it.
@@TechWrathTV for SOME reason... NOW it works. ? No idea but maybe when I originally tried, I didn't have the BSDF selected. I just tried now both ways. It works now when having it selected but if not, it gives no matching images msg so maybe for some reason it wasn't selected before. But it's weird. When you first go into the shading area, it auto selects it anyway so... ? but thanks for the reply! It is working now so all those material nodes are set up for me so that is a huge time saver. I still have not textured anything successfully and rendered it but maybe now I can.
Hi, I have one question to ask you. I'm confused about the section where you said we have an addon installed. Which I have none, can you tell me how to get it rather which addon to get.
Thanks! This looks too easy, I'm a bit scared to try😂 If you have a cube, could this be done to set the texture on a single surface or does it influence the whole mesh? If it does, how can I put it on a single face?
You can use the texture on single face as well and cube as well. You asked a very good question and I shall make a tutorial on that within this week for sure. Thank you for the question.
@@TechWrathTV update: I did it, easly as expected. But I Belice I wasn't clear with my question: I loke the result and would like to export the mesh (with the texture applied) in an stl format. That way, I'll be able to 3D print it. Do you know how to do so?
Hey TechWorth TV, I'm new to Blender 2.8.0 and tried to model my house. I added PBR textures like you did, but got a 'No matching Image found' error. Also, when selecting files, left-clicking doesn't work properly. Is this normal or did I change some keybinds? Can you help me fix these issues? Thanks!
please check 0.50 that the add on is selected otherwise it will not add the pbr and also that you are in the right mode and the object is selected. hope this fixes the issue.
Can you please tell me why when i press on it it goes straight into the box where you’re apost to drag the files in and I cant get into the textures because it just keeps putting it in there pls help
OMG TYSM, you broke this down simple and slowly enough that even my dumbass figured out how to do it, i will be adding alot of views to this, because im going to forget how to do it a few times XD.
hi, I was watching this video for help for trying to add some texture to a 3 model from sketch fab, I have 4 different texture that should look like a plane when I add them, but it just white. can you maybe make a video to do that?
When I click on Control Shift T to open the file view menu, it doesn't work. I made sure to click on the material, but it doesn't open the file view menu for me to import the texture
please check if you have the add ons checked on your blender for shortcuts to work check 0:55 seconds video. go to edit > preferences > add-ons and search for node wrangler. then u need to click the checkbox to enable it.
sure, we were saying that the tab name PRINCIPLED BSDF click on it so it gets selected then press the shortcut key CTRL + SHIFT + T . Once you press this the browser window will open and you can follow the tutorial. Hope this helps, if not then send message will give you extra instructions.
Brilliant! I am not techy, but you taught it well, and I liked that you spoke fast. I will watch and follow to get it. But Thank you for being to the point! No waffling! :) Bless you.
I don't get Displacement effect with this setup in Blender 3.5. Render Cycles. Same textures as in this video. Materials Properties > Settings > Surface > Displacement Only Any ideas?
the texture files will have the following files .JPG, .PNG, .EXR and .EXR 4k. the files number depend on the texture you get from poly haven or other websites.
Okay I downloaded a texture that has files like yours, and it worked. I want to use the wood textures from Arroway, but what they give are all .png files, how would I get these to work? Thanks
hello, newbie here. After completing 4:01 it only showed the color of the texture and not the image of the texture itself. I tried to render it but still only the color were shown. need help
Update: it did not work because the model was imported from skp. I tried to make a model again but this time on blender, and it worked. So my question is why did the model from skp didn't work?
the model might not have exported correctly or importing issue maybe. there is an extension for sketch feb in blender where you can download the model directly in blender. the best format we have found is obj, fbx. but this is an interested issue you have highlighted, we will be working on it and share it with you as well.
tried this and i just get an error in the log that says "select principled BSDF" and it won't make the other things pop up on strings to the main thing
6:55 Using Blender 3.5.1. Did everything exactly as you explained but when I select Displacement only the plain remains flat and I can't change it in settings.
@@TechWrathTV so when i load my texture vom poly haven on to my landscape (this add-on from blender) its just showing a nasty brown texture, but this boxes in shading are here. so i think the problem ist, that it imported my texture wrong…
Everything works fine till I go to Settings -> Displacement and put "Displacement Only" my texture just goes away (and becomes just gray)... I'm talking about what you did at 6:50
Check add ons. please check if you have the add ons checked on your blender for shortcuts to work check 0:55 seconds video and let us know if that helps.
hi mate, sorry to hear that, please no need to un install the software you can see please check if you have the add ons checked on your blender for shortcuts to work check 0:55 seconds video
@@TechWrathTV Actually not. I guess I was stuck in editing mode, and as I later found out, the changes don't happen in it. They only happen in object mode. I mainly rely on the visuals in the videos because I understand partial English and use a translator for writing. In case I clearly didn't see that you switched from edit mode to object mode.
@@batvanio my apologies mate, will keep that in mind next time in other videos and will add explaining and showing changes clearly. Glad you solved it.
please check if you have the add ons checked on your blender for shortcuts to work check 0:55 seconds video. if that is not done then you wont see the pop up.

@@TechWrathTV dont be sorry, u tryied your best to teach people anyway!, u helped alot of other people. which is good!. since im am a VERYY Starter. im 2 days using blender. i didnt understanded it well, and i thought it is too long. besides its a good tutorial!, many people appreciated that! i would be happy if you could try to make an shorter tutorial of adding textures on meshs, it would help many people!, not couting the people u alr helped btw. but for now i will be waiting an updated version of the tutorial! and i can see the effort you putted. maybe if you update it, it could be some of the best tutorials for blender 3.2.2 (the current version of the time of this commentary) it can't be that hard, but i want to know how to add textures propely, i mean... make good textures since it is Super Important For An Game, but all the tutorials aren't helping me, your tutorial kinda helped me, since i watched a part. i dont had much time or i have to see the entire video, but i was not able to make good textures. so i just want to u to update it, anyways keep up with the good content! 😄
