In real scenario My Dishwasher Salt compartment is always full with water, if I put salt, the water flows out, but here there are no quantity instruction in the video. No clear info in this video. Even though done by Bosch itself, it does not explain properly.
From what I’ve read, this is normal. As you add the salt the water should be displaced. I find this a bit tricky so what I do is to gently place my rolling pin inside the place for the salt before refilling it. This displaces some of the water making it easier to refill the salt. This compartment works by allowing water in to where the salt is, which lets the salt dissolve in the water.
@Bosch - You have to do BETTER with your manual! There is no user guide included with the dishwasher 800 series I just purchased, amongst many other useful actions we the customers need to know! I shouldn’t have to find out features by mere luck on the internet while searching for answers due to lack of instructions. When a cycle is done without Crystal Dry , should the door be opened right away or kept closed for a period of time? If so, for how long? I opened the door right after a normal cycle ended and a storm of steam flushed my kitchen left me wondering if the smoke alarm was going to go off. I don’t want to have bad odors inside the unit, so I need to know about the door and the best way to keep it dry after a run. When you use the Crystal Dry, is it the same for the door? It’s not intuitive since the door doesn’t even like to remain open.
Hi Felix, thank you for your input. We're so sorry for the trouble. A full .pdf of your use and care manual is available on the webpage for your dishwasher. If you have any questions, our support team at 800-944-2904 is happy to assist.
The salt should displace the water, it’s fine to add in with the water. I find this gets a bit messy though so I displace some of the water first (lowering in a rolling pin works well!) so that there is more space to add the salt.
Hi Samuel, thank you for choosing Bosch and for making us aware of your issue. If you have any questions regarding how to use the salt compartment, you may contact our 24/7 customer service team at 800-944-2904 for real-time support or email your model number to BoschCare@bshg.com, and a team member will respond in turn. Thank you.
Hi Bob, thanks for reaching out to us. Model SHPM65Z52N does not include a water softener, so there is no salt dispenser. Our dishwashers with built-in water softeners can be viewed on our website here: www.bosch-home.com/us/productslist/dishwashers/?f_highlights_ma=water_softener. If you have additional product-related inquiries, feel free to contact our customer service team at 1-800-944-2904. Thank you.
@Bosch, people are waiting for your reply to the question about leftover water. I'd like to know what the fitting inside the dispenser is for - there is a kind of pipette thing, different to this video. I've got an old dishwasher btw, just getting to grips with why it may not be cleaning properly.
Hi Leonie, thanks for reaching out. We'd be happy to look into the issue with your dishwasher. Please email us your model number along with a picture of the fitting mentioned to BoschCare@bshg.com. Thanks.
@@BoschHomeAppliancesNAmerica thanks for the response. Where do I (or where should I) expect to find this number please? I can't see anything that looks like a serial number ...
Hi, thank you for reaching out. The following link will take you to your use and care manual where you can find the information regarding your display panel: www.bosch-home.com/us/owner-support/owner-manuals. If you have any questions, please contact our 24/7 customer service team at 800-944-2904.
I added salt to the water already in the container and without overfilling it, I checked and the "salt" light had gone out so all good. Same with rinse aid - poured some in and checked the warning light.
@@pamelacrompton2967 i added salt to the salt container at the first time i bought my bosch 2 years earlier..till now the warning light has not turned on!!..is it normal?!!..water hardness in my region is moderate and i use my dishwasher about 10times in a month.
thanks for reaching out. We're sorry that you're having trouble removing the lid. Unfortunately, we do not have much troubleshooting to provide besides being careful while ensuring you have a nice grip while trying to unscrew the lid. Sometimes there can be a suction build-up after running a cycle. Please feel free to refer to the use and care guide for additional necessary information. Thanks.
Hi Test, we appreciate you reaching out and making us aware. Our team would be happy to review the details of your experience to see how we can best assist. Please contact 800-944-2904 for real-time support or email your model number and contact information to BoschCare@bshg.com, and a team member will respond in turn. Thank you.
We have BOSCH dishwasher model SHX68T55UC and the unit doesn't have the area where you can remove the cap and add the salt. None of the video is showing this model. What should we do?
@@BoschHomeAppliancesNAmerica Thank you for your email. So why I am receiving the message on the control panel stating that the salt level is low and can start the dishwasher? Please advise.
I don't have a salt dispenser but it still flashes add salt and add rinse agent...i added rinse agent but it's still flashing but still will not work. Any suggestions?
Hi Estelle, thank you for reaching out. Your unit may be displaying an error code. Connect with our team at 800-944-2904. Include your model number, so we may provide assistance with this.
Hi Amy, thank you for reaching out. The salt dispenser may be turned off on your unit. See your use and care manual to ensure it is turned on and the proper amount of salt is dispensing with each cycle. Thank you!
Why add salt? I don't see anything in my manual about it. But then I don't see much that's helpful in the manual at all. We're still having trouble figuring out how to set the dishwasher despite having spoken for times with customer care.
Hi Steven, thanks for reaching out. The model you've referenced does not have a water softener built in, so your unit won't have a salt dispenser in it. Thank you!
@@BoschHomeAppliancesNAmerica I still purchased dishwasher salt even if I don't have salt compartment as Im living in an area with hard water. Where shall I put the salt in this situation? Please make suggestion.
thank you for reaching out. Could you please send an email to BoschCare@bshg.com with your dishwasher model number so we can look further into this? Thanks.
According to the manual it say one kg of salt and water but you just putting in salt (if this sounds like a stupid comment then forgive me, first time using a dishwasher)
Hi Linda, Finish softener salt can be purchased from the Bosch website, as well as most big box retailers that carry Bosch appliances. Hope this helps!
Hello Meko, thank you for reaching out. If your unit is equipped with a salt dispenser, it can be found on the left-hand side of the tub. Reference your owners manual for more information. Thank you!
@@BoschHomeAppliancesNAmerica Thank you! I have also silenced the beep that tells me the cycle is done, but I seem to have to turn it off at the beginning of each load, is there a way to silence it indefinitely?
This is a not a good video Bosch. The instruction manual suggests 1,5kg of salt. 1kg is max possible in my machine. Instruction manual refers only to initial filling; first time. No mention of topping up or refilling or when to refill other than 'add salt' light will come on but mine doesn't light up. So what to do? As your service centres are great distances apart readily available information should be made.
