Only mixing and mastering credits, depending on your distributor. Not cover art credits.

Hi @JaceyFlames, Thank you for your help with this video, I have a question about co-releasing a song through TuneCore. We are 2 artists trying to release the same song on both of our listening platforms, how do we make sure that the song goes live on both of our pages ?? if we add both of us as a main artist, does that ensure that the release shows up on both of our listening platforms. Any help on this will be very appreciated. Thank you :)

Well, do you have a profile of your own out already on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. ? Or is this the first time you and the other artist are releasing something?

@@JaceyFlames so, both of us have our own profiles and have released music before, however I am with CD baby while my collaborator is with TuneCore. If we add and link my Spotify, Apple Music etc profiles correctly as "main artist" will the song show up on both of our profiles as new release?

Yes, but for example I’d advise you to link YOUR Spotify profile and Apple Music profile when you are setting up the song to release. And your collaborator to link THEIR Spotify profile and Apple Music profile when they set the song for the release date.

Yes, and as far as the splits you and your collaborator will just both fill out the splits on your respected distributors giving each other the portion that was negotiated when making the song.

Did you follow the steps on the video to add your lyrics? It’s at 9:28 where you can see “lyrics (optional)” and that is where you will add your lyrics from your song on there.

Jacey, you know at the section it asks add your LEGAL NAMES, isn't suppose to be your passport name ? or you can add your music name instead as I don't want to add my real name not that I'm wanted by the police or yet lol but i prefer my music name to be credited publically .thanks

You can add your music name, but the reason it asks for your legal name is so that you can later be credited for splits/taxes, etc.

hey bro thanks for the video, I wanted to ask a question to clarify my situation: I accepted a Tunecore splits invite from an artist for a song I produced. it was split 50/50 between us but I had co-producers as well who weren’t added in the splits. Would it be possible for me to edit the split so I can include them or does the artist gotta do it themselves? If neither of those options possible I was gonna manually split it with them after each quarter payout. Thank you bro

You would either have to contact the artist or just give the co-producers that portion of the splits, if that makes sense.

My bad I had another question bro. The co-producers also don’t show up in the song credits on Spotify so if the artist adds them in the “Song Artists/Creatives” section like shown in your video, would that update the metadata and show the co-producers in the credits?

Please note that this was filmed 11 months ago and sometimes they change their process. Also, keep in mind that my song was still in the “ready” phase when I edited the song. After the song has been released, it is almost impossible to make edits.
