I have to add a comment about Malik and his style -- from his "peeps" to his "love" to his CORNY jokes. When I first started to watch Malik's PD videos, I nearly rolled my eyes -- it was just so hoaky and too cute. By my third PD video, not only do I appreciate the real quality of his videos but I have grown to LOVE this unique quirky character that he creates for the ins and outs of his videos. During his videos he is 100 business. But now when I search for a video and see that there is a PD video by Malik, I pick that one because 1) I know it will be excellent quality and 2) his quirky funny intros and character will always bring a smile to my face at a moment when I am trying to do something which is always challenging and anxiety producing. There is nothing quite like a friendly warm funny person easing you into something that is otherwise daunting. Malik, you are a wonderful teacher and clearly a person fille with lots of love for what you do and for your "peeps" who I now count myself among. Keep on keeping on my man!!!
Wow! Thank you so much. This video I learned a lot about transitions especially - setting the preferences before I start, having a favorites folder and a better understanding of how they work. You rock! And I like that you've answered queries from people. And, yes, I subscribed. I hope you do really well out of your videos on here because they truly offer a lot of great information.
Thanks a lot, I was going crazy trying to get it right with the transitions and it turns out that your suggestion about changing the preferens from overlap to cross was the solution. Thank you.
THANK YOU!!!!!!! I can usually figure out the little goodies in a program on my own, and I was successful, except for TRANSITIONS!!! I can't thank you enough for this tutorial. Very concise and informative. Look forward to more...
I'm glad I was able to help you out Carla. if you have any ideas for future tutorials please feel free to fill out my tutorial request form in the video description. have a great day.
Thanks, this saved me a lot of work. I didn't know about the cross option and needles to say, it was a nightmare to apply transitions to all clips and afterwards making any change. Great video
I’m a tech savvy guy so I can just buy this program and get started, right? Nope! Next I found your videos. He makes learning fun and gets the info to sink in (if only my other teachers did that). My next idea was finding other videos for an all around experience. I found people tripping over their words, laughing at their own jokes and guessing what things did while calling it a tutorial. My final step was running back to Maliek’s videos. Thanks man!
You provide EXCELLENT tutorials. I use transitions in all my videos and I learned some very helpful tips from you today! Thanks for the clear, concise, examples.
I've used a few editing programs in the past few years and I thought I'd try PowerDirector 16 Ultimate on a suggestion of a friend of mine that has been using this program for a couple years now. Being a huge you tube user when I need to find out how things work and/or reviews of products, I came across yours which I have to say is by far the best i've found yet and I've looked at several. Most likely, I'll be looking at yours way more than the rest of them so, thank you so very much for doing what you're doing what you're doing.
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have about 200 images to add transitions to and I was not looking forward to doing this one by one. Now all I need to do is find how to apply the same process to resizing images. I know you an apply a resize to all images but this stretches images and you lose image sharpness/quality. I need a resize process that will enlarge the image not stretch to fit. Will check your excellent channel to see if you have some PD magic on this. :)
Thanks for the kudos. PD isn't a true photo editor. If you're looking to get precise photo editing you might want to look to a dedicated photo editor for that. Once the changes are made you can then import to PD to make your video.
@@PDU_Tutorials hey thanks man. appreciate the quick personal reply. so your saying then to look for some way to batch resize images to 16:9 ratio in a separate programme... maybe photo director
Nature's Invitation If you feel that PD is not giving you the results you want when you edit the photo then yes. There are lots of free photo editors you can get online.
@@PDU_Tutorials thank you very much. I have photo director and have resized with this but will keep looking for a batch resize. Have a great day and keep up the great work.
I'm so lost with power director, but your videos are helping. I started with little kinemaster and loved it. Now I want to do more. Subscribed and trying to learn PD before I jump in and buy it. Your videos help! Thanks!
Hi there, Thank you for the tutorials. Just a suggestion, when you apply a change, such as the audio transition, please do a demonstration to show what it is like before and after.
Hi Maliek, I have just started using PowerDirector and your videos have really helped me so much! I have just recently upgraded to the Director Suite 365 because of this! I'm just creating a video using the grand opening transition and i was hoping you would be able to provide so info on how to create a 'grand closing' transition I noticed there is a create a transition.... would you possibly be able to release a video showing how to do this? TIA!
Thank you so much! I did learn a lot today and had some fun with a short clip using some of the directorzone cool transitions! You are the best Mailek! :)Jen
Dear Maliek, thank very much for this excellent learning video. It brings my problem to the point. You bring the solution. I like your videos, please continue. Thumbs up !! Have a nice day :-) Martin
I just want to start out by saying that I love your tutorials and they've helped me a lot because I just got Cyberlink and I've been looking for something like this. On my channel I make AMVs (Anime Music Videos) and I was wondering if you could do some sort of tutorial for AMV effects or something. Thanks! ^^
Great videos. Thanks for making them. I am using the trial version of this right now to see if I want to buy it. Have been using Vegas pro but it's so slow processing movies. This software makes movies FASTER!
Great video as always but I would like to have seen more of the actual videos transitioned including the sound to see the results. A demo on adding transitions to all including randomizing would be great.
Thanks for making these videos... They have helped me out allot... One question I have is how do you add transitions to a multicam edited video without affecting the synched audio. When I have tried to add transitions the audio is then off to my music video. Thanks!
Great tutorial as always! We watch "yours" on the lap-top, whilst copying what you do on the desktop - makes for a highly productive experience :-D Must say that PD is a pretty amazing package, and can certainly produce content good enough to grace "The Big Screen" (in terms of product elegance).
I've been looking everywhere to find out how to apply a transition to all clips, and you gave me three options. Thanks so much Maliek. Now for a related question... is there a way to apply a transition to only selected clips in the timeline? Cheers, Greg. (Liked and subscribed!)
Great video thanks! What about when making videos with split screens? I.e two tracks showing at the same time. Do I have to put transitions on both tracks?
Thank you very much for this presentation. I was wondering why the online support from Corel Video Studio couldn't explain the difference between overlap and cross transitions. Corel support told me to clear the cashes and reset the program. I had a number of videos on the timeline and wondering why the overall duration was changing. The slideshows I create, the timing of the pictures with the song lyrics are essential to my videos. I will look into buying Power Director. I hope it is as easy to use, when doing slideshows, like Adobe Photoshop Elements12 is. Thanks.
Hi Maliek, Love your tutorials. On this transition tutorial refers how to apply between the video...and if you have many videos can be done in one shot. No mention If have 20-40 pictures how to insert a transition between the pictures in one shut. let me know if works the same way for still pictures. Regards, Nick
Love the Intro, Not Kidding when I say I laughed out loud. Looking to get some new editing software and hoping this has good transitions like in Camtasia.
Thanks Maliek! I've noticed when dragging a Transition to the end of a clip with no neighbor, sometimes the system gets confused whether it's a starting or ending Transition. For example, I'll add a Fade to the end of a clip, but when it hits the Transition, it jumps to black, then slowly fades IN rather than out! Have you noticed that? In properties, there isn't an option for In or Out, so I don't know how to smarten it up...
omar ghsgjs Thanks. Double click each video and use PIP Designer and key frames to make it move in the direction you want. Watch my PIP Designer video for details.
