I learned the hard way NOT to use glue when attaching a p[piece of vellum to the front of a card. DH still chuckles about it. Our 40-yr anniversary card features globs of dark color between the vellum and the card stock.

I got a bunch of vellum from a friend that I want to be able to use in my scrapbooking but I don’t have any specialty glue to use with it and was getting frustrated with adhesive showing through. The wrap around trick is brilliant!
What i had hoped to see is what GLUE to use on vellum when placing said vellum on top of another piece of vellum. Pretty disappointed with this video, quite a let down really.
I'd also suggest eyelets, brads, and decorative clips which eliminates the need for adhesive if one of these methods don't work for you. I've also used other decorative elements to cover the spots I've applied adhesive. Whatever matches your theme. I prefer my background paper to show through the vellum, so I don't see using the wrap-around paper method she showed. I think I'd just use a paper alternative if that was my option.
Also, if you use the ribbon method, be sure to check your ribbon. Many ribbons fray easily. I will use a dab of glue on the ends or melt it with a lighter depending on the material (please use caution and always before attaching to the project and once cool). To those asking what type of glue. Most of the acidfree adhesives I've tried with vellum have worked. You may want to cut a test strip off the vellum to see how it looks when applied.
