It does matter!! Too tight and you kill suspension response and trash drive line components.. ....too loose and it will ride higher on tooth than ideal...and falling off risk increased. Driveline must be correct...driveline problems ? Pulling the clutch in will not resolve in emergency.
Gen3 Magnas use one set of pressures. 36 Front/42 Rear . . . passenger or no passenger. I have owned 5 of them and have both owner and service manuals. Just saying :)
@@69bikerider thanks! My 97 has a sticker diagram of inflation Pressure front and rear. I've owned The bike 25 years and the numbers On that sticker have never changed. Amazing that you've owned 5. I can't Even wear one out. Ride safe.

@@69bikerider I guess there Are still some nice used Magna's Out there. I think 2007 was the last Model year. Still outperforms a lot Of newer sport cruisers. Except For the brakes.LOL.
Nothing wrong with 40 psi . I run 40 on my 97 magna and I'm 210 lbs . I have metzler ultra 888s on and there's still another 5 to 7 k left of rubber and I put them on at 19000 . The bike just turned 26000 so that's 7000 with plenty of life yet .
