Matt, I had a 2017 G310R, yesterday I noticed difficulties with gears, lever was so soft with a big free end play, today after works I did as same as your instructions, I did the major and minor adjustment. The difficulty is the little room for tools but at the end with and open and 90 degrees angle tool, I lose and later tight the couple opposite nuts at shift end connection. Step by step, now my clutch is as new, thank you!
The stock clutch lever sucks. This bike needs adjustable levers for people with shorter fingers. Please do a video on how to install those aftermarket levers.
Awesome vids and very helpful. One thing most home mechanics will come across eventually will be the service reminder light coming on. Do you have steps in how to disable it? Looks like it hasn't been covered for the 310s yet. Thanks Matt
Matt, I have just bought a 2018 G310R a few days ago. I pulled a muscle in my chest and had to put it in the house overnight and did not use it for the full day. The next day I am trying to turn it on. It turns on but when I shifted into first gear it dies out. The ABS light is flashing. Where do I find the ABS switch on this bike? I have searched it all over and cannot find the switch to turn off the ABS. Could this be the reason why I cannot shift into first gear without stalling?
A wire snapped near the clutch cable. These cables are bundled together with the clutch lever. Need advise as i need to know if this cable is a critical part.
Hey matt… I’m M having a lot of vibration on my clutch lever…. Not the freeplay of the clutch cabel, but when im riding the lever vibrate vertically… can you tell me if its normal? Thankx
I struggle to put my gs310 on neutral, from 1st to neutral gear lever is very hard and then it go direct to 2nd and same from there to 1st, hardly get chance to keep my bike on neutral, easy to put in neutral when bike moving, do i need to adjust the clutch setting?
Hello Bro, my bike has zero clutch cable free play even after both minor and major adjustment , what could be the reason ? today mechanic even replaced the cutch plates but no solution of problem , according to him , cable is okay , it might be the pressure plate issue , he is not 100 % sure.
I'm so confused. I had the recommended amount of free play but because It had free play, the clutch lever would rest in a position that wasnt all the way forward and it was wobbling. Now that I adjusted it to go all the way forward, there is no free play and whenever I add free play, the clutch lever rest in a position closer to the bar and wobbles since it isn't all the forward.
