G’day Shiny. You explained that very well, my friend 👍🏼. I actually gave it a go tuning my 372 just this afternoon after running about six tanks through it and I will try it out tomorrow in some wood. I used my ears and a tachometer while tuning, it seems to be running ok. I hope you had a great Christmas and all the best for the New Year 2024 Can’t wait to see your new saw.

Happy holidays Wayne. It’s always great to see a comment from you brother! Yes this is how I tune all my saws big or small. On the bigger ones like the 372 you do have to pay more attention to the “H” jet. These little saws seem to snuff out if you lean them out too much. After tuning the low jet then tune the high jet. You are using a tachometer and that’s perfect. 13500rpm with the throttle wide open is safe (not under load). I’m still feeling out the Chinese quality on the top ends. So far so good on mine. It’s best to play it safe while breaking it in. Doesn’t hurt to run it a little more rich. Of course, once you are in the wood you may have to adjust again slightly. With 6 tanks you are on your way and should be able to dial it in soon. Tuning can be frustrating but like anything else with chainsaws, the more you do it the more you will get better at it. It definitely took me some time to get comfortable tuning. Take care Wayne, happy new year to you and your family. ✌️

@@Northofsomething82 Thanks Shiny, have a great New Year, my friend…. PS. I only took the revs on Hi up to 11,800 while I’m still running it in. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 after a bit more time I will tune it better. Cheers 🍻 mate.

Do you mean time stamp section of the video? I’m clueless with some of this technology 😂. ✌️

What was the size/product type of the screwdriver type tool that you introduced at the start? Just looking on Amazon for this as this is exactly the issue I have - but not sure what size and can't find anything so far on the Husqvarna website Cheers- great video, really helpful, thanks!

You can use a blue butt connector on a small screwdriver and it will turn them fine...

@@socialmediacheck3388 Were you able to find the proper tool? I searched what he recommended to search on Amazon but there are comments saying it does not fit the 120 mark 2.

Nice job, good explanation...P/S Do those 120's tend to over lube the chain, looks like the bar was soaked...I heard that was a bit of an issue with the 120...Does it use about one oil tank to 2 fuel tanks like most saws or is it more like one to one...Thanks tons...
@Northofsomething82

It oils heavy but not to the point where it’s too much. I’d rather have it oil more than not enough. ✌️

Thank you, ,I'd heard two tanks of oil to one of fuel which i thought was a bit to much and am going to pick mine up tomorrow to go with my 372 which is getting a little heavy...lol...Thanks for your help...

@happycamper2877 no problem. The fuel tank on this saw is very small, empty’s pretty quick. 👍

So I ended up buying the 135 because it was on sale for 329.00 which is a great deal, I just limbed 2" limbs for an hour and a half no stopping and used 1-1/2 tank of fuel, thought that was pretty good for a new saw not broke in, ran strong and I was very pleased, really nice not having to limb with the 372...lol...Thanks for your help...P/S This oils a little heavy but I like more than not enough...@@Northofsomething82

I have the same saw and i let a friend adjust it so lets say he should stick with working on cars because it hasn't ran right since. Everything was screwed with and i cant find anything on the idle screw setting.. if you turn it in all the way to start over you have to turn it out I think at least two and a half or three turns before you can get the choke to stay out so I guess my question is how far do I unscrew or whatever do I turn that out after the initial three that you have to do to get the choke to stay out if that makes any sense

Hello Sean. Without your saw in front of me I may not give you the answer you want but I’ll try my best. I’d start from scratch. Turn both your high and low jets in all the way then turn them out 1.5 turns. Start the saw, Then, turn your idle screw until your chain starts spinning without you touching the throttle (chain brake off). Now you can tune your low jet like the video shows. After you feel good throttle response, turn the idle screw back in until the chain is no longer spinning. Your high jet will set your RPMs. Too fast, you’ll blow it up. Your choke will only work when the saw is cold. Once you burp the throttle it kicks the choke out. If your saw is warm and you try choke it again, it will flood. Not sure if I answered your question. Steve from Steve’s small engine saloon also has great videos on tuning chainsaws. Maybe check him out too. ✌️

@@Northofsomething82 it's the same saw as yours.. I just noticed with the idle screw if you don't have it unscrewed enough(3 turns I think)you can't set the choke so just trying to figure out after I get the screw unscrewed enough how much further do I turn it out.. didn't know if you knew about the idle screw doing that with the choke or not because I haven't seen anyone say anything about it so was just letting you know just for extra knowledge

@@Northofsomething82 sorry I didn't see your whole comment before I replied.. I had it started and it was running then I zigged when I should have zagged and I can't get it to start again. Ive waited for a few hours to make sure it wasn't flooded because I have a tendency of doing that... When I pull the cord it will give that really high brief rev like normal then after that it refuses to fire... I'll check back after bit. I appreciate your time and help

@@Northofsomething82 welcome.. sorry I just now got on here I ended up with pink eye yippee I haven't had that since I was like 16 that was a long time ago.. anyway I'm gonna try this saw thing again.. I've changed all the fuel lines and the fuel filter and on a side note I had taken the carburetor off and put slits in the adjustment screws so I can use a regular flat head screw driver because I'm poor and can't afford a 10 dollar tool that's sad I love Joe Biden's america NOT lol.. anyway I'll let you know if this starts. Thanks again for your time
