Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, Jim will give you pro tips on pickup height adjustment that can lead to a noticeable difference in the sound of your guitar. Having your pickups at the correct height will optimize the output and tone of your guitar while providing a more expressive playing experience.
Does changing pickup height affect tone? Yes. Pickup height affects tone, similar to the when you speak closer or farther away from a microphone. The closer you get the louder and brighter the sound, the further away, the further away you lose output and the more mellow and smoother it will sound.
