i just purchased one of these and wanted to mention that on the seat forward tilt, you can actually lock it into a "4th position", to where it locks tilted forward. you can't set this adjustment until you're leaning all the way forward, and there's a 4th clicking position that becomes 'available'
Excellent :) Crazy that Herman Miller themselves hasn't hired you for their demo guy. So much better when someone actually "shows" you how to use something! A++++++
Thank you! I couldn’t figure out how to get my chair to tilt back all the way. Thought it might only tilt back halfway and I was disappointed. This made me very happy with my chair!
This is a great explanation of how to adjust everything on the chair! I read the Herman Miller documentation and watched their video prior to this, but having you in the chair educating and demonstrating (with a great edit highlighting some of the motions!) makes this significantly more useful. And having the video segmented to make it easier to find what you need? Nailed it. Fantastic job, thank you so much :)
I've had a Herman Miller Aeron since the start of the Pandemic. Frankly, I've been disappointed as it's not as comfortable as something this expensive should be. When I got bought it, I watched the HM video; no words or subtitles, I misunderstood many of the adjustments. This helped greatly! Thank you!
Thank you! I read all the documentation, but right vs left are hard concepts for me 😅 I was just about to complain to HM that my chair didn’t have the seat tilt angle known but thanks to your video I realized I was looking for it on the wrong side of the chair 🤦🏻♀ If only every fix was that easy.
Sorry guys - bought one but can't adjust the angle of the back to a fixed position I like so I'm returning it. Seems like a silly omission. It either rocks free or it sits too far forward. Not a good design choice.
Just setting up my new chair. I love the Atlas headrest and the back of the chair. But I have large huevos, and my comfort seating position is knees 18” apart. In this chair, this means either painful sitting with my knees together or painful pressure of my thighs against the hard plastic sides of the seat. I’m very unhappy. This wasn’t cheap. Also, my chair has the adjustments, but no whit marking. Just indented writing, black on black.
So sorry to hear you are not happy with your chair. Not all chairs are for everyone. We have a 30 day return policy we would love to help you, please contact us to resolve this matter via email to contact@crandalloffice.com
why is it i can’t find any instruction video whereby after the instructor forward tilted the chair he also clicks the recline limiter forward to secure the position :(
Thank you! It's been very hard to find a good explanation of the forward tilt adjustment. The people at the store I bought it from said that after you lean back and push the slide to level forward.... That once you are in the extra forward tilt you should then lock it into the forward position with the inner ring in the forward position. I have done this. However I find it very hard then to unlock the chair and the tilt mechanism. In your video you show the forward tilt being mobile and not locked into its position. What about locking it into that forward tilt position so that it doesn't move back and forth?
Hi, hopefully you can respond, how did you manage to unlock it? I thought you could do the same and locked it in the forward position. Now I can't seem to get it out of the forward tilt, how did you manage to unlock it?
Really important question. I'm 6'2 about 290 and I have the size C Aeron. This thing is killing the back of my right leg (underneath the thigh, about 4 inches above the back of the knee) What am I doing wrong? I feel the seat might be too high? I really want to keep the chair.
So there is a seat pad underneath the seat that may be causing the issue. It is under the front part of the seat and is a black spongy feeling banana pad. Removing this pad may be of assistance to you. You can always put it back if that doesn't help. It has double sided tape that holds it in and if you bought it from us it doesn't void the warranty.
