Great video. We were actually on the trail and found that my friends 112 was running like crap . I looked videos on the trail for him and came across this. You saved the day, after the video I had it running 90 percent better. In our case the air screw was way too far in . Only 1/2 turn out. You’re my hero . Thank you 🙏. Im also curious to see what number idle speed you feel is appropriate. Based on what I heard in the video, I’m thinking around.1400-1500 rpm? This is just based off of my bike that has a tachometer but a fuel injected 2T

2 strokes generally leak some oil both around where the pipe connects to the engine and where the muffler attaches to the pipe. Are you talking about leaking oil from one of those spots, or like there is an actual bad exhaust leak? Yeah that’ll probably help, but there also should be a little rubber seal in between the muffler and the pipe (there usually is) and that could be bad as well if the leak is really bad
Hanging idle means you are too lean. You need to go richer on air screw (turn in/clockwise on a two stroke carb) or change to a larger pilot and then play with air screw again.
I can’t remember. I might’ve mentioned it sometime in the video. It was probably somewhere around 1 1/2 and 2 turns, but unfortunately I sold that bike a couple months ago. Was a very fun little bike though.
