How to Adjust the Toe In on a Club Car Precedent Golf Cart 

Thank you Barry. I purchased a replacement steering wheel for my 2011 Club Car Precedent to replace a custom wheel with 5 bolts. The new wheel required a new adapter to fit the 6 bolt pattern. Despite the steering wheel being perfectly straight with the old adapter, the new adapter moved the new wheel to about 1 o'clock. Because the adapter fits on to a hexagon fitting, I could not simply loosen the wheel and align. Using knowledge from your video, I loosened the jam nuts and adjusted tie rods to allow the steering wheel to come straight. Took about 6 adjustments with little rides to get it right. I thought my cart ran true before, now - thanks to you - it really runs true.

Thanks, Barry. I've watched a lot of DIY on RU-vid for various projects and most seem to take about 15 minutes to show a 3 minute project. It's refreshing to see someone getting to it and not spending too much time. Not I just have to get my wrenches out and fix the toe on my golf cart!

Hi Barry, thanks for this video. I was hesitant at first to tow in my 2013 Precedent, but after doing it, I felt accomplished and proud of myself. Why I started to adjust alignment was the buggy was pulling to one side, and after learning about tow in and out from your video, I fixed the problem and now she runs true.

Great video series Barry. I've learned a lot about working on my new cart. Question - I'm replacing both tie rod ends on my EZGO and when twisting them off, I counted the turns. One side was 14 and change, and the other not quite 13, so I'm just going to realign as they seem to be off. Should the turns be equal and do you measure the rear for comparison, the same as you showed from the front?

Thanks for this video and all of your others! Quick question: I just did my alignment, but noticed while breaking the jam nut loose or tightening it, the tie rod end twists as well. Not normal right? :) I have a '10 Precedent with a 6" A-Arm RHOX lift. Time to replace the ends?

Hi Barry - I have a 2015 Club Car. Using a framing square, I have a positive camber on the front left wheel (about 3/8 to 1/2) and a perfectly neutral camber on the front right wheel (Perfect 90 degree) I've installed a new front leaf spring, but can't fix the camber differences. Is there an adjustment I can make?) Eternally grateful for any recommendation you have - thank you

My front tires definitely need adjusting and I tried to do it myself but couldn't loosen the nut on the passenger side. What would make the tires get out of adjustment? How would I know if the front bushings need replacing?

I have a Camber issue on my 06 Precedent. My front tires look like they are going in opposite directions. What do you suggest?

Hey barry I have a 2010 xrt 1550 club car. And need tie rod replace on left side. But I can't find the parts seeing the tie rod is square and not threaded and rod. Did you know were I can find or can you show me ow to repair. The rubber is torn on upper and lower.

I have a 2012 Club Car Precedent. Are they wider, at the back than the 2010? My measurements are much different from the rear; than they are at the front of the golf cart. Please Help me to figure this out??? John

I have a 2017 precedent and the right tire worn down completely left not as much. Is this from the toe in? Last time in the shop they said they adjusted it. Also if I buy new tires, can an auto store mount them?

Good morning Barry, I hope you are still checking questions on here even though it is 8 years old. I have a cart where the front tires look kind of like an upside down V. Would using this "toe-in" adjustment be the correct way to fix this? Respectfully, Myk

My steering gets over sensitive at speeds over 20 mph. It seems it will flip over. Low speeds no problem. What is the issue. Thanks

I'm in Australia.....own a 2017 Club Car Precedent....it seems to drift on the fairways....is it due to the front track being narrower than the rear....or could it be a wheel alignment or tyre pressure.....I'd be interested to read your reply.......Thanks Rick

This is probably a shot in the dark for any kind of response because of how old this video is, but I have a 2010 club car precedent that is measuring 58.5 in back and, after making adjustments, 56 in front. How is it possible to have such a large difference? Everything is stock.

Use distiled water in the batteris dont let water go below cell in the battries.

My 2012 club car precedent golf cart. My tow is off really bad. The back measures 39" the front measures 37". How do I correct that.

on my 2010 club car the front wheels are toed out at the bottom after I replaced front bushes on leaf springs, how do I fix that

So on my 2011 Club Car Precedent measures 39 1/2 in back, 35 1/2 front. I do have Modz HD front and rear leaf springs. Why’s my back end so wide?

Barry I have one wheel that is towed out and the other straight. Everything is tight in the steering. I'm not sure if something may be broken that has caused the tire to do this. Do you have any suggestions?

oK on toe in . how do you adjust the Camber 2013 precedent.p/s tire is leaning in more at the bottom than the D/S?.

barry, when i turn sharp to the right it feels like the tire is going to come off the rim. could that mean the rt tire is tow in. It only does that on the rt tire side.(tire when facing front of cart) it feels really loose. When I check the tow it is within 1/4" but when the steering wheel is properly placed both tires seem to point to driver side out.

How about aligning up and down?? The bottom of My wheels seem way open and the top way too close!

The bottom of my tires are closer to each other than the top.

Funny how nobody will show the actual measuring of the rear of the tires during this procedure. The cart frame is just low enough that it won't allow for a level measurement.

You told us that car was within specs but didn't tell us what the specs are.
