The main issue when setting up your external monitors (or you may have a laptop and an external monitor) is the flow across screens from left to right or right to left. The mouse can be affected, as is your ability to move apps / windows between your two monitors. 🔽 HOW TO ADJUST YOUR 2ND MONITOR FROM LEFT TO RIGHT IN WINDOWS 10 - STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL 🔽
So in order to change direction of the extended monitor ⏬
✅ 1. Go down to search bar with magnifying glass, bottom left screen - type 'display'
✅ 2. Select 'duplicate or extend to a connected display'. Ensure multiple displays are set to 'EXTEND THESE DISPLAYS'
✅ 3. Go up to settings. When the display page opens, it shows the Dell monitor IN2010 (smaller monitor) as monitor 1 right side in Windows settings. The external JVC LT-24CM69BE monitor/display, monitor 2, is shown left side in Windows settings. This is causing the problem with the workflow across the screens as the physical setup is opposite to this. Clicking 'identify' will show you how the screens / monitors are actually set out
✅ 4. To rectify, right click on monitor you wish to move - continue to hold the mouse button down (monitor highlighted blue), proceed to drag monitor across & to the right of monitor 1 (as display settings) as show in the video (or drag to the left side if setup is opposite)
✅ 5. Once happy with the change, click 'apply' to save the changes. You have now learnt how to switch monitors 1 and 2.
👍 Once your monitor has been adjusted from left to right (right to left) the workflow across your monitors / screens & productivity is likely to be much improved. It also makes moving windows / apps between your external monitors / screens (or external monitor & laptop screen) a lot better when multiple displays are set to 'extend these displays'.
