How to adjust your 2nd monitor from left to right in Windows 11, for better productivity, is what we look at in this video today.
One of the biggest issues that you face when your two monitors aren't set up correctly in Windows 11 is the flow between monitors from left to right and vice versa.
As shown in the video - the mouse cursor is on the right hand monitor, but you can't actually move across the center to the left monitor. In order to move between monitors (current setup - without changing your display settings) you have to move across the right hand side of the right monitor and then the cursor eventually comes across onto the left side of the left monitor. If your monitors are setup like this, it's very difficult to use them and it will impact your productivity and your workflow.
What causes the issue is when the physical setup of the monitors is different (opposite) to the setup in your Windows 11 display settings.
You can rectify the problem by physically moving both monitors around. However, you don't need to do that because with a few simple changes to your display system settings, you can sort the problem out.
NOTE: This process will not work if your display setup is set to duplicate displays, as both screens will be show exactly the same.
Once the changes have been applied i.e. you've adjust your 2nd monitor from left to right, the flow between monitors improves massively, allowing easy movement of apps and programs.
How to adjust your 2nd monitor from left to right in Windows 11 - Process 👇👇👇
1️⃣ Click the magnifying glass - then to access display settings, type 'display' into the search bar.
2️⃣ Select 'duplicate or extend to a connected display' as shown in the video.
3️⃣ As mentioned, the Windows 11 display settings order on your PC / computer may not match the physical setup of your screens - this includes any external monitors. To rectify this issue, select the second monitor, in our case, monitor 2, by left clicking your mouse and then holding the button down. At the same time, drag monitor number 2 in our case, to the opposite side of monitor 1 as shown, ensuring alignment of the monitors for a smooth flow across the screens of apps, windows and more.
4️⃣ Once happy with the new setup of your monitors, click 'apply'. The screen will turn black for a few seconds (this is normal) whilst the changes are made to your Windows 11 display settings.
You should have now been able to change the order of your monitors / swap the order of your screens by adjusting your 2nd monitor from left to right in Windows 11.
