I have a 1981 240d naturally aspirated with no turbo but it does okay. I put a Y pvc pipe and added another section for more air into the air cleaner. I also have Bosio injector tips the larger ones and she hustles down the road.
That’s sweet the more air obviously the better and faster it will be. Also with a llittle but more fuel from the injector tips it helps. Good for you man!
I have a '82 300d turbo. I did all the preventative maintenance before the 250,000 mile mark such as monarch injector nozzzles, timing, valve adjustments, K&N airfilter, compression test....its smooth and powerful at 80mph but I never tried adjusting the ALDA. it would be nice to have a little more power in city traffic in the lower rpms. Would you say you turned out the ALDA adjustment ? And about how many turns, 1/4? 1/2? Thanks
I wouldn’t go more than 3 or 4 full turns. And yes afte you are done re tighten the 10mm up. Just snug. Not to tight or the bolt will break easily. I hope it helps and sorry for late response
Im adjusting this myself but wondering how much, its okay to adjust i wanted more power since my w201 190D 2.0 kinda slow so... do u know how much its okay to adjust... how many turns i can go for?
