Watch Coach Curtis videos, he's underrated and a series name "Mid Lane Fundamentals: Trading, Vision, Wave Management, Roaming, Jg Tracking, Tempo, Win Conditions". Each video is detailed about 40m -1 hour, some are 15 minutes. Although the aesthetic of the video isn't as high as skill capped, you learn a lot with his easy to understand analogies and explanations.

Can only agree with the Coach Curtis recommendation. His videos are quite indepth but he explains even quite difficult topics relatively easy, while also giving alot of ingame examples and talking to many different scenarios. On top of that he has different champion in depth champion guides on his channel and he even uploads some coaching sessions on his twitch I think. If you truly wanna understand mid lane as a whole and not just matchup or makro fundamentals hes a really good source to use.

3:40 To be honest, if a Kogmaw and a Lulu gets into the game, how Iam supposed to be unkillable? If Iam the Warwick, my team is almost ad scaling damage. Beside of some magic damage, Wukong, Warwick, Aphelios and Thresh has, they all stack ad and health item, except tresh, going for his tank support items. Ganking one of these lanes is pretty hard, but Orn and Kogmaw in one team just outscale most other teamcomps. Edit: After continue watching the video, Warwick is ganking (botlane) anyway, as I expected him to do so.

I actually agree with this. The narrator's point of a single damage type being the win condition when the Warwick's team is also entirely AD. Ornn will outtank a Warwick mid to late, and Kog-lulu will have the survivability/damage to 2v8 All akali has to do is kill thresh or aphelios, and Elise only needs to make sure the Warwick has no impact early game. The edge goes to the kog maw's team in a late game scenario

I was really surprised by their interpretation of this scenario too. Warwick is falls off hard against this team, shredded by Lulu Kog late and lacking a true tank against Ornn. WW excels at early pressure, which the relatively volatile early lanes will need to capitalise on to attempt to snowball. To my mind the ideal plan would be early pressure topside, while Ornn is killable and Akali is more likely to be gankable. Recall with scanner, clear botlane wards and camp whenever the lane isn't stable (when pushing in to counter gank a dive, or gank if they over extend and Elise shows elsewhere, or while pushing out to counter gank Elise or dive), all the while maintaining drake pressure as soul (and early elder) might be a midgame win-condition. My 2 cents.

@@anomaly3055 building as a tank, WW is inferior to other tanks. It's as effective as building Jax full tank - the camp's kit and stat line is designed as a bruiser and skirmisher. They have temporary tankiness, but blow up after an engage. Ww's tankiness comes mostly from his Q and ult healing, which scales better with AD (which is why warrior enchantment is almost always better, else he deals too little damage and is merely a CC bot, not even useful enough in competetive let alone ranked).

In the first one ww comp has 0 ap tho, so the argument can be made for both, ornn will be unkillable! And kog can go attackspeed going for the ad damage, the game play is complete garbo!

Well Warwick does magic damage with Q and R and his passive is magic damage on-hit so even without ap he does magic damage Edit: removed the word technically because its not correct usage

@Ao (Frank) Cheng well, I'm not too mlg on Warwick just noting that he does magic damage but I can still read the wiki It says here his scaling is as follows Passive 10-44 damage on hit, kinda low not gonna lie but assuming he is building MR he could just slap a wits end and do like 70 Magic on top of physical damage Q has 1.2 AD and 1 AP scaling and does max health damage R does 175/350/525 magic damage and 1.67 BONUS AD scaling while surpressing for 1.5 seconds Kogmaw should be killable as long as you have a teammate to cc or do damage while you cc And ornn should just be killable if you're going tankyboi wick Edit: I'm actually stupid I forgot Kogmaw has a useful item called botrk at his disposal, you definitely need a teammate and possibly with a simple dead man's plate for ms and armor to kill kogmaw

One of the things I like about the Jungle role is that you get to understand the game a lot more with making global decisions which could affect your teammates. It's very technical but I think rewarding.

This is the greatest tutorial i have ever seen,and i have been watching you for some time. I didn't even play a game with analysing it after and I already feel like im gonna amazingly improve. The way you showed that is just so simple. After you play a game that went bad for you, you just analyse the draft again and see if you executed the gameplan you set yourself from the table you shown. It's just so amazing i had to comment. Beginning to type as of 2:40. Just the 6 gameplans makes creating a strategy flexible and very doable. Seeing these strategies as Kindred jg, 3 and 5 are my preferred, though I keep 1/2 on the table depending on how the game shapes up. These game plans in action are quite crazy, as well as what do these different junglers do in X situation. I find myself not knowing what any of them want to do due to lack of knowledge. I knew as Shyv, you're going to power farm/play for objectives. Shyv is famous for that playstyle. I didn't know about the potential counter jungle though. That Ezreal game looked spicy though. That had to be a lot of fun. One question I have though for the commenters out there, what could Kindred do? I can see under the right situation, you could pick any of them or a few (such as 3 and 5, 2 and 6.)

In the first game, why would ganking lanes be wrong ? Wukong has a super good snowball and split against ornn after brk, and Yasuo Akali is a super volatile and snowbally matchup. Wouldn't getting top side ahead actually be enough to shut down the kog later on, especially with such a low counterplay combo as wukong yasuo ? (i know camping bot is the right choice considering lane set up and all you said, but why is camping top side a bad choice in this game ?)

honestly i dont agree , in the first draft ww's team is also full ad they auto lose to ornn stacking armor late + ww falls off late game so u cant just power farm and auto win at 25 minute mark , in second draft i dont think counter ganking is an option due to how weak yoru team is early gaem and u almost lose every 2v2/3v3. or maybe thats why im gold lol

Counter ganking doesn't mean necessarily going all in on the enemy team. U can counter gank just to release pressure and give ur teamates time to back off. Also I would disagree that u loose ever 2vs2 or 3vs3 when counterganking. If they were fights where they expected u sure, but after they already enganged on ur teammate possibly burning spells just so they could catch up to him while chasing him down I m not so sure. Specially since pyke and camile are bursty champs that would loose extended trades against camile and master yi. Bot late is volatile on a counter gank and the only lane that I can see still loosing on a counter gank is the mid lane due to cassio proeminence on a extended fight. Even than u can countergank just to give vlad time to back off and survive.

I think this guide overestimates how easy it is to determine whether lanes are going to be "volatile" - I've noticed in every ELO from Iron to Challenger that this is usually way more dependent on players than on champions, unless (esp. in higher ELO) a matchup is particularly skewed. I guess you'll have to make part of your plan by looking at how the lanes are faring when the game has started already

shyv is quite useless before getting her dragon form. you best bet is to farm until level 6, get your jungle items ASAP (i assume AP shyv) to have more oomphh in your dragons breath. ganking early can also be an option if there's an idiot over extending their lane, except for some, like darius/riven etc. but the safest play is to get to level 6 fast as shyv

I've been watching these videos since long ago and I got better in my games, but I still can't climb because as an adc/sup main I can't find my win conditions. Will you make something like this for those roles? Also, you're losing a lot of spanish-speaking people by not translating the guides, I would be happy to help translate captions, because believe me, LATAM would be a better place to climb if the people watched and understood these concepts!!!

I don't get the first one. sure ww can farm but seeing as he has a thresh aphelios vs lulu kog'maw shouldn't he camp that lane for easy kills? also yasuo vs akali is a melee matchup and he can go there once in a while to get some free stuff too. sure he doesnt HAVE to gank but its much better than not ganking.

With the information from the video, I thought that the counter-jungling option early with Shyvana was pretty risky and not worth it. There are lots of reasons why this could utterly backfire: 1) Mid has priority, Pyke is one of the best roamers in the game and Vlad is already behind from the gank, 2) Shyvana is extremely weak early and we only know that Camille pathed bot-side prior to Shyvana clearing Blue, Gromp, Wolves, and Scuttlecrab, and 3) Shyvana loses 1v1s with Camille pre-6. The list goes on, because all they would need is some kind of vision on Shyvana to totally ruin her early game.

but Camille avoids raptors and krugs like the plague prior to first back. Because we know she went red mid, while shyvana did 4 camps and scuttle, by the time she entered camille's jungle, any ward there would have expired already. Camille has realistically no real reason to be topside. And since she blew flash with her lv 2 gank, worst case scenario you just use flash to escape yourself. There isnt any big risk in counter jungling therer

You used the wrong game plan graphic for Shyvana in the examples. You've used the one from the Warwick example again. It says that counterjungling should be avoided while you're talking through why counterjungling is the correct option, lol.

The first game had an ornn on the enemy team which was against a full AD team (wukong/ww/yas/aph) so doesn't this make warwick's win condition of stalling for late game pointless since his team has the same handicap?

idk the only late game threat is kogmaw but with wukong '/ yasuo they have such strong dive against it. and all of ww team can itemise with magic resist but Elise team has fewer options

It seems like a good video.. The thing is you probably won't be able to use this knowledge in diamond or lower because your team will flame you for being useless.. Its not easy to be a jgl main as every laner thinks your only purpose of existence is camping their lane so its a 2v1 / 3v2 the entire game

No Warwick's team is more balanced. Warwick and Thresh are ap, even if Warwick builds ad he will still do more magic than physical damage. Also, Warwick's team naturally builds more tank items. Warwick can farm fast when he focuses on it, he will get his unkillable powerspike before Ornn and KogMaw come online.

What if I dont have enough game knowledge to do these gameplans? 90% of the time I dont know how a lane will play out, if the enemy jg will invade me or not etc

You know in regards to the Shyvanna, I don't think that ganking in that game should have been completely crossed off. Yes, counterjungling takes priority in all the situations where a gank occured in this video. But situations where ganking yields success could still have occurred given all those champions. They just need to be timed correctly and in the case of the bot lane gank, be performed when the only person with cc isn't already dead. An ult on an out of position cassiopea could still yield desired results if the vlad is there too. Execution and timing are more the problem than the action as a response to an opponent's mistake. This is especially the case when looking at the footage, it seems biased towards extreme examples where both the timing and execution are extremely bad. If you wanted to make a point that it is the idea is truly bad you should have given us an example where a shyvanna ganked frequently found some success and no direct punishments but still ended up behind due to not playing to their strengths. That would show that it is the idea, in this case ganking, and not the execution that is at fault.

What to do when I play adc and 4 teammates are super trollign ? Enemy top is 13/2 etc. And my team is runnig aimlessly around the map all the time and feeding even more and they are not listening to any tactic ( from yt tutorials ) i ping or say in chat ???

in the second one i thought counter jungling would be bad becuase of shyvanas bad earlygame and the pressure the enemy team can have with pyke and sennas global ult

Camille clear is so bad that if you meet her, it's a 1v0 basically, she is forced to run away early, so it is likely she won't clear a lot as she is a great ganker, giving you uncontested camps most of the time
