How to Animate a Flying BAT 

Bats are my favourite animal and I've been trying to learn how to animate them for a while. This is really useful!!! The animation is great!!

Its so nice to see tutorials again pixi! A slight offset of wing motion for a more natural look is something Ill defenitely try to use now. Ive only seen offset animation in crowd shots but to use it on individual limbs is something completely new! Ill come back here for the reference clips for sure if I happen to make a flight cycle at some point, footage is great ^^

Looks awesome! This is really helpful, because I’m starting to work more on my flying animation, and experimenting with different flying species. The wings look great, especially because of the offset wing touch. The lil offset wing movement helps bring the animation all together, and makes it look more realistic!

I actually never thought to offset the wings! No wonder it always looked unnatural… tysm pixi! Ur tutorials are always so helpful!

Cool! I'm also a big fan of bat animations. They are great as secondary characters. And they loved to use them to connect scenes like curtains.

This is a nice stylistic flight cycle but if you’re looking for a more realistic one I’d recommend trying to find slow motion bat flying

Lots of people think bats are ugly creatures. And I just look at the adorable face of a baby bat and I immediately question the insanity of those people! 😅

I've never really realized how similar bat's look to monkeys (the irl bat at the end)
