Adobe rebranded the software to Adobe Animate. And from flash cs6 you can export direct to .mov. Flash is not dead, it's still totally useful.

You actually sound genuinely happy to share your knowledge, and you're so thorough - even skimming over core concepts just enough for learners to latch onto entire concepts. Dude, take this from a teacher: this is some seriously textbook perfect eLearning. Its got a pleasant tone, moves quickly, and is also somehow very comprehensive. This had to be one of the most useful tutorials I have ever seen in my entire life. Certainly the best one when it comes to animation. Everything is understandable, crystal clear and informative. finally.... I feel like you explained such a simple thing with the difference of the pencil and paint tool and how the colours work, I had been stumped trying to figure it out by myself when I already know how to use photoshop and just didn't understand why things were so different. Every other tutorial i looked up all assumed I already knew how to draw in the program, I know its 4 years later but thank you for this!

I was inspired by many amazing animators on youtube like Domics and Hyun to buy Flash and get my own drawing pad to start animating. A tip for anyone watching: Instead of tracing the head on the first frame, convert the head to a symbol. Do that by right clicking on the drawing and selecting convert to symbol. This will make u to never draw the head again. All symbols can be found in the library. This very useful
