The more advanced your knowledge the better, especially for Google, try utilizing these two resources: ru-vid.com ru-vid.com/show-UCxX9wt5FWQUAAz4UrysqK9A If you find the interview questions that Life at Google and CS Dojo cover to be within your core knowledge, you will do great. Good luck!

Shikha, thanks for your question, can you please be more specific? If you are looking for a full example answer, it would likely need to be another video and I am happy to add it to my list of potential upcoming videos. Please let me know. Thanks!

Please talk about how female candidates who started in the 80's can navigate this question when the worst situations we've encountered would be considered HR violations today. I have an extremely difficult time with this. What I'm hearing from you is to keep answers focused on technology difficulties that were handled but invariably the "why did you leave" question gets me. I'm not sure younger women in the industry have these same types of experiences or not as routinely now. Workplace discrimination and bullying, for women, has been ubiquitous for most of my career and this is the case for all my peers as well. I have done things like funnel all my solutions through a male co-worker who then took credit for the solution because saying it came from the woman on the team would have been a reason to reject the solution, even after it worked. Navigating these questions is extremely difficult. I can't ignore the impact sexism, gender bias and racism have had on my career path. How do recruiters understand this in candidates? Are we supposed to pretend it didn't happen and that the lack of advancement is some mystery?

Barbara, thank you for sharing and I am truly sorry you had to experience this bias in your career. You cannot ignore what happened, but will bringing it up in the interview benefit you? What I don't want to happen is for these past negative experiences caused by others to pull you down now. Focus on the lesson learned and how those lessons have made you a better employee, without going too far into the weeds on how negative those experiences truly were. I hope this helps!

Hi Jeff. Thanks for the videos. Really helpful! Just wondering if you get a question like this could you use the same answer you would give to "tell me about a time you disagreed with your boss?" These both seem related and I wonder if you're likely to get both questions in a single interview. Seems like both are effectively asking how you deal with conflict or challenge? Thanks! :)

Daragh, I created a video on that exact question - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3rVp7_yvF8o.html. Good luck!!

Hi Jeff, Thanks for this video. To respond to this question adopting to STAR methodology by bringing in a Project example and adopting to your 8 items been referred. Could you please guide, how much % would be in reference to each of the items vs the project example, would the interviewer be looking at. Your thoughts, will be a great direction.

Sun Jay, typically what I look for is three to five actions with supporting/mini actions. Actions can take between 2-3 minutes and should make up more than half of your answer.
