I like the reaction I get when I respond, "I've never been better." People look at me with curiosity and I get the feeling they want to know what I'm up to. Others I feel are envious. It's fun to see reactions.

I just simply smile and that is how I response these question. I am fed up with saying repeated words "I am good " and so on.

I once heard from one of Les Brown's videos on how a certain old lady who was battling some serious physical ailment but somehow always managed to stay positive and would respond to the how are you greeting by saying, 'Better than good and better than most'. So I decided that this was going to be my new reply to that question. I have lost count on how many people stopped in their 'tracks' and looked at me intrigued whenever I respond, ' I am better than good and better than most'. One tip, it can also serve as a great ice breaker when meeting someone for the first time.

For the last 10years i have answered "AWESOME!" with energy and a smile. Different people come to me with problems all day and this answer seems to give confidence and turn the mood to positive.

No matter how I feel ... when asked I always say I am blessed.

One of the best responses I ever heard after asking someone "how are you?" was an enthusiastic response of "Better than ever!". To this day that has still stuck with me and I'll be using that a lot in the future.

When answering positively to this question in my experience when I in recent times don’t feel positive I’ve learned that it’s a conscious decision to feel good or not. Always be honest when answering, and i remind myself that even though I may in fact feel negative or sad or something has happen to make me feel a more somber emotion, this question immediately makes me decide how I want to feel in that moment. So when asked I answer positively and it begins the process to feel better the rest of the day.

When asked how things are goin, I’ve started sayin “Livin the nightmare.” It throws em off, both of you will usually laugh or smile and it’s as sarcastic as the “livin the dream” response, but in an inverted direction of positivity, perpetuating that perception, indefinitely.
