I work appeals for a Medicaid insurance plan. You should always have your provider review the denial and appeal it for you, if they even want to. A lot of denials can also occur from provider billing errors. The insurance provider can also make mistakes and sometimes additional information is required which can be submitted with the dispute. So many different scenarios though.

Literally changed jobs and getting BETTER coverage health insurance was a factor in my decision. Now i am getting the medication I was previously denied when my old job changed to a cheaper health plan.

I love it when my insurance denies the prior authorization for my medication and I end up in the ER, costing them 10x more than what they could have paid if they just approved the medication my doctor prescribed for me. My insurance had to pay for multiple ER stays, a bowel resection, multiple CT scans, an MRI of my abdomen, TPN for over 6 weeks, home nursing visits for both my ostomy and my TPN, all of my ostomy supplies, and they're paying for an upcoming stoma reversal surgery (which will result in another 5-7 day hospital stay). I've spent over 2 weeks in the hospital, all on their dime because I hit my max out of pocket back in January. The American health insurance industry is such a hot mess. I could have avoided surgery and all of those home nursing visits if they just gave me my medication in the first place. Now they're paying for THE SAME medication on top of all of this extra care. 🤷

They should tell people what to do, when they are denied a legal restraining order against someone. ____ I was denied a restraining order against someone I never liked or trusted. And, they lied to the law enforcement and obtained legal documents, personal documents, keys to my house and car and my husband's cell phone and other personal items without my permission or consent. ____ I tried to inform the law enforcement that they've jeopardized my safety, security, privacy, and other such important rights. The law enforcement didn't care.

Why don't you re-name the title of the video - "Here's what we THINK you'll need to do, to maybe get some coverage from your insurance you pay for." Why not actually take 10 people and go through the steps of appealing for them. And then report on that. This feels like false hope. And asking your doctor, to do this extra work.... What's in it for them? If someone asked you to work longer for no extra pay, how does that work out.

Most doctor offices have a dedicated biller whether internal or contracted out that handles disputes for them. It's already part of their job responsibilities and they would be the most qualified to dispute the claim as opposed to having their patient do it. What's in it for them, well the opportunity to receive payment for their services and to keep the patient coming back. It's easier to collect from the insurance than from the patient. I do agree that the title is misleading.

Why are providers allowed to charge whatever they want?! A dermatologist once charged me $800 to remove and biopsy a mole. I ended up paying for it too because it wasn't "medically necessary" (ie. Not cancerous)

I had a routine physical and lab denied by Aetna. I reached out to my provider who said they could not help. I then wrote a detailed appeal on my own to Aetna. They denied the appeal saying I (or my provider) did not give enough information, and was given a denial code 717 (whatever that means). I live just above the poverty line. A $450 bill will bankrupt me. Not that Aetna cares. My next step is to cancel my insurance as it does nothing, and just go to the ER when I get sick.

Potassium channels and cytosolic mediums are extremely sensitive dominions governing phospholipid behaviors and are increasingly scrutinized by a dependency on co2 for oxidase but the reductive pathway of chalcogen is extremely dependent on a stereo configuration but whose oxygen regulation is highly dependent on ligand field theories, of a whole lot of plants, as Amides become Nitrile.

You make it sound like calling and actually talking to someone at an insurance company is so easy. The most likely scenario is you wait on hold for hours and then either get fed up and say screw it or they hang up on you. Customer service these days in all industries in the U.S. is absolutely horrendously horrible and and half the time you don’t even end up talking to an actual human being. Just some stupid recording that doesn’t actually understand anything. Health Insurance is such a scam.

If I were to put it simply, whenever a Democratic Party comes into power, they tend to misuse it, leaving behind a few individuals from the middle class without any benefits. These are just examples, and the reason being, whenever they come into power, they engage in conflicts within some countries, and through that, their arms trade increases significantly. It has become a habit for them to start business ventures, hindering various affected economies, using China as a means to pursue their desired world dominance. The effect of this impacts the everyday lives of ordinary Americans, causing disruptions in their livelihoods and resulting in supply chain disturbances.🙄🙄
