I have an appeal meeting in a couple of days and I've never been more nervous or anxious in my entire life. I did veeeerrrryyyy poorly my freshman/sophomore/junior years of high school. But did AMAZING my senior year of high school and was even on honor roll for the first time in my life specifically for the fact that I wanted to go to this particular school. I also got 5 letters of recommendation from my teachers/guidance counselor along with joining an extracurricular. I'm praying to Jesus that this appeal goes through. Wish me luck!
I have a very hard decision. So I got rejected from St. John's and I was considering transferring after my first 2years of another college . But then I learned about an appeal application and thought I would try it . Before this is had already called the admissions office and emailed them for more information. Very recently I got accepted to farmingdale which is my second choice . Now my question is should I go to farmingdale because it is cheaper and I get to live on my own for 2years then transfer to St. John's or should I should I keep pushing for St. John's even tho it's closer and more expensive?
this was a helpful video. If I want to ask the college why they rejected me should I contact my regional admissions officer or just email the admissions office. The college i am appealing to instructs to upload the appeal letter online but would it hurt to send it to the dean of my major as well?
This is a helpful video, although it doesn't account for issues of finance. There's no solace in winning an appeal if you will not be able to attend because of finances. Also, ehile I agree with the idea of moving on to your next best choice, I do not think it is healthy or productive to do so with a mind toward transferring. That's not a positive attitude. Better to make the school you attend YOUR school.
@@makaylaeriana2918 I think the appeal deadline was April 15 (I could be wrong). I ended up not appealing and just went to another UC. if ucla didn't want me, I don't want them
Thank you for this video, I was just rejected! If anyone wants to see more of this type of content, I made a similar video that I hope can help motivate you through this period!
I wasn’t accepted because my official transcripts through parchment never arrived to the university. that is highly unfair. I don’t know if it’s possible to even reconsider and investigate where my transcripts are.
I successfully appealed my denial of admission (denial based on IMPACTION, met academic requirements) ...broke every letter writing rule in the book and also included an audio version of my letter with the one page paper version. I have shared it for anyone who is interested. I had been admitted prior but a clerical administrative error caused me my admission. My admission was withdrawn and I appealed. I was sure a Dean's letter explaining such would suffice so as advised I kept my appeal letter short and sweet. Didn't work. Was denied and so I was forced to reapply. Second time around I was told I met a academic requirements but was being denied based on IMPACTION. The letter I posted is the unedited original I submitted to the appeals committee. If it helps anyone it's on my channel. Thanks
I was 19 when i started college i wasn’t ready for college i was stupid and careless and i didnt wanna do school anymore i just wanted to make money now im 25 i know what job i wanna do and now this appeal is in my way i wanna go back and finish college im ready for it now its hard to do this i already did it and they said its not good enough
I just got rejected from San Diego state university and want to write an appeal. I haven’t called since the admissions office has closed already so i will call tommorow and I have a feeling I got rejected since the major I applied as was really impacted. Would I be able to ask for a change of major in the appeal?
I want to appeal to being denied a course overload. I need a extra course for graduation. I was denied because I was below a 3.0. But I’m at a 2.68 and to graduate you need a 2.0. Any tips?
Does it make any difference in my appeal if I was accepted into the department and denied from the university? This is a graduate application question. The department associate chair says they will send a letter of support once my appeal is submitted.
I got rejected from Hudson County Community College for another class, where I can attend the course of how the line goes by. I want to see this type of work for how I can live enough to get a second chance of getting it done. However is it okay I can do a few College education class with the same school.
