This is really helpful to me as Vault Hunters 1.18 has just released, and I plan to use AE2 instead of Refined Storage just because of Applied Mekanistics 😅
some things ain't applicable for 1.18 he showed for 1.19. In vh you won't find those budding blocks also meteor will have chest with one or two presses instead of all four 👍
i never really tried this mod because of how complicated it sounded, but you explained it so well and I'm defiantly adding this mod to my world, thanks!
It's a cool mod. Seems like a bit of a hassle to start off with. I mean even if you know exactly what you're doing you firstly need to find space to set up and then acquire all your resources in such odd ways. I will say that it probably makes everything a lot easier later in though. The question for most players will be is it worth it. I'm already using rftools for my modular storage system but that definitely has a lot more limitation than this.
@@a.t.6432 maybe it depends on the modpack, but if you use silk touch on flawless buds, they become flawed and can only be used indefinitely by breaking it and using ressources to repair it
Id recomend if ur modpack has the easy villagers mod or if ur still early game to get the crystals trough villagers, the block is the charger to make them a fluix specialist
Sorry for the late comment, but you're wrong at 4:26 , I have it placed at the side of my vibration chamber and its powering it just fine, not trying to be mean by the way, just wanted to let you know
So, you need to make an energy acceptor to make the stuff to get you to a meteor, but in order to make the energy acceptor, you need the quartz that you're trying to find in a meteor.... someone tell me how that makes sense?
Not a fan of that slime piston change the creator did for whatever reason. I'm pretty sure that was not a thing back in 1.7(which is when I last played with the mod). It seems, like someone else pointed out, quite a hassle all of the sudden just to get started. I don't know maybe it's something you just get used to. I couldn't even find a slime chunk when I played a few hours ago.
There is nothing to explain. The just grow on there own like vanilla amethysts. You can speed it up as I show but they do it by themselves just like wheat grows on it's own
I’m so very confused I have my me system set up just like the basic one you have but my drives are getting no power no matter where I put it. Even right next to the powered vibration chamber
I've mined quite a few meteorites and I haven't found one with Certus Quartz inside. I've only found Fluix Blocks and sometimes chests. Am I just extremely unlucky or am I missing something?
What version of AE2 are you using? Are you in 1.19? These are brand new mechanics and for privies versions you only find certus quartz through normal mining and caving
When it spins like that it generally means you are standing right where a meteorite is, it could be buried underground (which is weird I know) but can happen. Try running far away and it should snap to the next closes one.
Bruh, I need to set this up so my friends and my quarry on our private server has something to put all the items. but dude, this looks so freaking tedious... x(
Almost everything in my tutorials are just the vanilla mod. Everything in this basic tutorial is just how the mod is. I only ever do addon stuff at the end of a section
@@Mondays3 was apparently some sort of bug or server issue but the very next day there was an update and it was fixed Or i was dumb and then the next day I wasn’t, I’ll will never know
For the first question, i think he's just middle-clicking while in creative, to put the item in the inventory. Vanilla mechanics. Not sure about the second.
When the crystals grow on the certus blocks with help from the crystal growth accelerator, the certus crystal block which might be damaged or flawless etc, for every grow tick, it gets ''downgraded''. For example from flawed to damaged. When it reaches ''Certus Quartz Block'' it wont grow any more crystals on it. Is it just like that and then I need to upgrade it again or how do I solve that problem?
You do have to upgrade them continuously it get the budding to work. There are ways to automate it but most likely not with AE2 it's self. The best I can think is by using integrated dynamic to scan the NBT data of the block and when it reached "damaged" automatically break it and put it through a separate upgrading cycle. Then have some sort of void hopper only to detect pick up and sending forward and placing down the flawless again. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RIDkGGBLccE.html&ab_channel=direwolf20 This episode of one of direwolf20's series shows what I am talking about when using rock crystal growth from astral sorcery
If you modpack doesn't have any other way of making power then burning items is the only way forward. I recommend using a tree farm so at least it is automated or use a nether lava lack to burn buckets of lava
I dislike this mod because idk why but when I had the system fully built and with a 256k ME storage cell it could only hold like 2 double chests worth of items, It seriously made me so mad that I quite the mod pack I was playing
As the size of cells increase the amount of types decrease. Saying that however that is far too little and something must have been wrong there and not connected properly
Objectively from a late game stand point yes however things go a little over the top with AE. Refined storage is just as good for most packs if you only want basic automation
This shit is wrong, the recipe for the vibration chamber includes a fluix crystal... but to get a fluix crystal you need power which requires a fluix crystal to make the chamber... its a cycle how tf do we get the first fluix crystal if we need power to make one but making power requires one...
You can make a charged certus quartz with a charger. You can power the charger with a hand crank. With the charged certus quarts, nether quarts and redstone dust thrown into water together makes a fluix crystal
the only thing i struggle to understand is the purpose of making any of this shit. all im hearing is a bunch of big words but no items that are actually useful to the game of Minecraft but then again I've been to Wisconsin before my IQ probably dropped a lot so maybe I'm just too dumb
It’s all for making a 1 stop shop digital storage space that can be used to auto crafting automatically or on demand any and all items required for any projects you may want to make
