its easy to remove this..after 2 weeks you need a fill bcuz your natural nails grew already and if you want to remove it,buff the majority of the bulk of the acrylic and soak it with pure acetone for 15 to 20 mins..the acrylic will become soft and its easy to push them down then buff slighty the surface of the nail then apply cuticle oil to replenish the skin around the nails..

i would do this. but i wouldve laid a clear base down first before extending the nail bed cause now if she hits it, the only thing keeping it together is that top layer of acrylic and the white tip could just snap off since it isnt "sandwhiched" between two clear layers.

***** How strong would it be? My thumb is probably the biggest problem I don't believe my thumbnail is long enough. I have been told by people that it took years but their nail bed grew out and fully recovered, and by others that once the nail-bed reseeds it will never recover. How its looking now the unattached nail would need to be 10 mm. to be long enough. Again you work with nails, so do you know if my nail bed will grow out? I've been told it takes a very very long time.

tr3nta There are many songs that are meant to use finger picking. A guitar pick could work but I would have to repetitively pick 4-6 strings with one plectrum. It is more difficult, also I love the classical guitar which only uses finger picking. There was a famous classical guitarist who actually shortened his nail-bed on purpose but I would 95% of classical guitarist have nails.

I bite my nails to but what I suggest it's what I do I take clear coat nail polish and put lemon or lime in it and since your a boy you can buff it so it will look natural on a man

Girl, I've bitten my nails since I got teeth! LOL I'm now 48 years old and my dad and sister also bite. I finally stopped when I got acrylics. I started getting them around 1998. In 1999 I lived in upstate New York. There was literally a nail salon on every corner and every one of them offered free airbrushing (that was the big thing back then) and getting a fill was like $8. It was cheap. Life was great back then, LOL

Well in stores there is this nail biter clear varnish and when u go to bite ur nails it will leave a gross taste in your mouth preventing u biting ur nails

Madelyn Casselman Ask around , if you see somebody who has nail extensions and you think they look good just ask hun i am sure that person wouldn't mind telling you. i get asked about mine all the time, even though i do them myself and the nail art and i never mind anybody asking, visit salons and ask if they would do your nails that way, any good salon will tell you they can as it is no different to sculpting nails with a form for acrylic or gel. Don't be afraid to see if they can they won't bit sweetie. I hope you girls do just that, show me a picture when you get them done, always nice to see others work.

cuuuute i broke my habits as a nail biter!! by having a brace lol.. there were no room to bite them with my brace wires thing.. so I stopped biting my nails and use the clippers instead, that was over 6 years ago

You could try painting on a top coat that has a bad taste when you bite. This will stop you from biting your nails.

TRU legit I went to a salon and she made my nail that I grew out for weeks as short as possible and the filed it I was so annoyed

I went with my sister to a nail salon and while we were waiting, a customer that has just left, came back in with a broken, bleeding toe nail that she had just done, She said she hit the sidewalk and broke her fake toenail due to the paper thin sandals she got after pedicure. So the owner "fixed" it by cleaning the blood and applying fresh acrylic on the open wound!!!! Not professional at all. The customer was yelling and crying of how painful that was and she said if she would have know the "professional" was going to do that she wouldn't have asked her to fix it lol. Btw they were taking care of 2 customers in intervals, filing someone's nails and leaving them waiting so they could go rub someone else's feet. All that without washing their hands!!! We got out of there immediately.

They do not ruin your real nails all, I'm 43 and did my first set of acrylics at 15 or 16 yrs old and my nails didn't shrivel up and die yet , what ruins nails is the incorrect removal of a acrylics or the use of foreign unlicensed crap ,done correctly acrylics don't affect your nails badly in the slightest

Asia Williams because it will cost too much and american don't want to spend a lot on nails. They want cheap and fast, so thats what people are bringing to them. This would at least cost more than $70 for it and would take about 1.5 hours to do.

That's a ridiculous exaggeration. It'd probably cost $60-$70 and take 2-3 hours to do a full set. Acrylic Nails in the U.S. Cost $25-$50 and take 1-2 hours to do a full set.

me too, but I have this method where i paint my nails no matter how long or short they are, i have no need to bite them. Now they are long and pretty and i don't feel gulity for biteing them. And if you are male and don't paint your nails there is a see through nail polish that is bitter to the taiste so when you are going to bite them it's nasty. :)
