How To Apply Antique Finish To Tooled Leather 

If you wanted to paint the flowers but still wanted to use antique, how would you change the process?

i bought some pre-dyed leather from weaver. is that toolable, or do i need to buy the simple no dyed vegetable tanned leather to practice tooling?
