While helpful, I think this video would have benefited from you using the same product and applying it different ways. That way the application style differences would be highlighted more directly (rather than potential product differences)

love the volume+definition look on you!! I usually go with the quick method but I am going to have to try the super defined method. It seems that method will save time for refreshing curls.

Cool video! This was a nice tutorial. I lost a ton of hair due to illness. Thankfully, it was really thick before. When it grew back, it grew back curly and wavy and even thicker. So, now I have really curly hair in places and nice tight waves in others and some straighter hair that is still left over from the hair that didn't fall out. I can't wait to try these techniques on my new hairstyle! Oh, and just in case you're still monitoring these comments, the order of which I like best: Volume + Definition, Volume, Quick and Easy, Super Defined. I don't know If I have the patience for Volume and Def. or Volume, so it may be Quick and Easy for me, most of the time. My hair is really thick, so I made not need the Volume technique, anyway. LOL! Thank you!!

I know this video is older, but I would suggest you not “smoosh” your hair with praying hands. I get the best results when I kind of glaze the gel over the outside of your curls, almost barely touching them. Then with the remaining gel I scrunch from the bottom. I would also use a little more product than you did. We have very similar hair and this gets me frizz-free every time,

I really liked the volume & defined one. I finger detangle in the shower and thats the last time my fingers go "through" my hair. In shower I use cream, micro plop, moose w/ praying hands and scrunch in, diffuse, SOTC and deal with any frizz with coconut oil

I live in Puerto Rico!!! Humidity 100!! So i loved this video. I will save it. I am struggling with which cream to use, Jesus, ive bought so many and many gels. It seems like the gels disappear becuse of the creams. Ive tried using less...nope. Can i ommit the creams altogether? I always think my hair will get dryer. I dont use alcohol or glycerin in anything. HELP! Im counting on you, cuse you always answer ❤

You don't have to use a cream if your hair isn't dry. Also, perhaps your gel is not strong hold? Also, are you applying your gel to very wet hair? I find that if you have too much water in your hair it can just dilute the gel, giving it less hold. I get more hold when I apply gel to damp hair versus soaking wet.

Nancy Vazquez I find that if I don’t diffuse my hair it is flat and takes forever to dry but if I do it works better. Idk whether It’s just my dry hair but it curls loosely without a diffuser.

Gena- About those Curl Keeper products. I have believed that the one called “Original” is a styler not a gel. The second product is a gel, a fave of BiancaRenee. Maybe check with her on this? Also they now have a refresh product that’s getting good reviews. Love your page.

I know this video is old but I'm hoping you can still respond I have 2c/3a hair or at least I did before I started brushing out my hair and treating it like straight hair, I don't have any damage (heat damage, color damage) I was just treating it like straight hair and I really want my hair to be more defined but whenever I wash my hair it turns out flat, undefined, no volume and frizzy. I style my hair wet and I do the praying hands method then scrunch but nothing works and it's annoying, I have friends with the most amazing curls and then there's me. I have low porosity, fine hair. if you have any tips please share them.

I really like watching u :) but just one thing I would like to say and I hope u will not be upset of that - u have beautiful hair but I think u are adding too much gel and your ends are looking very dry and like its not scranch enough and there is no bounce at all because of that - have u tried adding less gel? in that fact u will taking away lots of volume from your hair - apology if thats make u upset but I really would like to share my thoughts :)

it's true that every curly hair is different and every person has a different technique to make their own hair, me too! I used to watch your videos, but I always didn't like the way how your hair is looking, in general. They might be super healthy and you love your hair, no hate or anything bad in it. it's just for me a viewer they look all squeezed together like they look like they are still wet, but it's because I like my hair to be a bit more 'frizzy', and 'dry' and I avoid for them to look wet? and I notice that like I put overnight treatments on them fro night, during the day I try to keep it as simple as possible.

So true, frizz is totally a personal preference. I've tried to embrace it a bit more recently, but it's tough when we're all so used to thinking of it as a bad thing. I like a combination of a little frizz but still definition :)

@@GenaMarie I am blonde, and for us blondes it's difficult to grown, healthy and moisture long hair, especially when I live in Greece, and sun here is not best friend with my hair... so I understand how important oils & all the types of masks are, to provide for hair these vitamins...
