My problem is that I hate wearing a bonnet...just don't like anything on my head. Is there anything else I can do. My hair is a mixture of curls and waves.
Thanks!! I think this is what my daughter has, she’s only 10 but I was wondering why is her hair so thin, yet beautiful curls. Saving this video bc this curly hair stuff is hard!! Thank you!
Love how informative your videos are! And just gotta tell you as beautiful as you are with your make up on I am in aw to see you are just as beautiful when you show yourself without makeup too! Beautiful you and your curls!
LUS’ all in one is my fav one & done! it doesn’t give too much hold but it’s given me some really good results before!!! which one of these would u rec for fine low porosity hair but live in the miserable southern humidity? 😭
THANK YOU so so much for how much detail you put into your explanations, as well as the written step and their purpose! This is the most informative tutorial I’ve seen and I finally feel like I know how to start treating my 2b hair the way it’s been begging me to treat it for 35 years.
Have you tried the verb curl defining mouse gel? It doesn’t give a cast and I’ve been getting frizz on day 2 or 3 and I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing or if the product doesn’t have enough hold.
You are very passionate and through. Thanks for not sugarcoating. We have the same hair type. Caucasian and very tight/ thin curls where length is a struggle 😥 I’ve figured out the best method ages ago but the new silver coming in with added breakage is so frustrating. I appreciate you saying a strong hold gel is crucial 🙌🏻. I can’t stand RU-vidrs saying this cream/gel is great😤 please. I’ve found herbal essence mousse works in high heat/humidity Ontario Canada Great video
Thanks Gena for recommending an affordable line for curly hair! I'm going to try their "curly" shampoo & condish! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge! ❤
I didn't use to brush style until I found the Bounce Curl brush. My hair does so much better with it. Once in a while, if I am not going anywhere for a while, I will not brush style. I can really tell the difference.
Why is that gel so moisturizing for me? When I use it with just a spray leave in underneath it takes forever to get it dry and it never forms a good cast
Hi GenaMarie, I found your channel last week I am 76 yrs have curly hair which I have had the last of the colour cut out it’s now a beautiful multi grey short I want to let it grow out to chin level maybe a little longer, wondering what shampoo conditioner and products you would recommend . I live in Queensland Australia Thank you for such informative information.🙌🌹
Hi! I am so frustrated with my curls!!!!!! They used to be beautiful rings uniform not much frizz then out of no where it’s like they forgot how to curl?? It’s soo soo frustrating
I use the Keratherapy Daily Smoothing Cream on top of my curl cream to make my high porosity, super fine, high density hair more manageable, but every hold product I use adds that grit back and the smoothing cream is rendered pointless. Any recs for super low texture hold product? The higher the hold the better. I just finished my can of Curl Talk Activating Mousse, which I am not a fan of, personally. It always leaves my hair feeling dry, a little sticky, and I don't get good hold with it, and if I use too much I get that producty look and it makes my hair tangle like crazy. I'm almost out of my Aussie Headstrong volume gel, which I find to be too thick and sticky, but the hold level is pretty good for me.
Me too. That's definitely an indication that you should limit or modify protein based products into your routine. I personally don't use protein unless I notice my hair needs it.
I get in the water everyday and have not been washing my hair. If I know my hair will be getting wet, I try to rinse my hair in clean water. What do you suggest for waterskiing? Usually I put my hair up in a scrunchy. Thanks for these tips!
Thank you for this video and recommending affordable hair care products! I couldn't decide which one to buy so I brought the curly line and volume line since it is affordable!
Used the miracle shield last washday along with Ouidad climate control strong hold gel, did a refresh yesterday with some camille rose coconut leave in diluted in a water bottle and the same gel..did not went well! my hair is covered in white flakes! they don't like eachother! and someone else with some serious knowledge told me the miracle shield doesn't protect against uv or heat, nothing what curlsmith claims is true with her ingredients knowledge..
I just came across this shampoo & conditioner in Walmart a week or 2 ago so of course I bought it lol. I really liked them, love the ingredients! They didn't have any stylers or anything though. Can't wait to get my hands on those!
My strongest hold gel by far is Giovanni La hold styling gel strong hold…I haven’t used that too much as a one and done but I am sure it can be done. But I have used some leave ins that also have hold so to add that with a strong gel is my best bet.
For any thick gels that are hard to work with, here is a pro tip: get a squeeze bottle and add some gel with distilled water and shake it up to dilute it a bit.
Curl talk brought out gel and cream fragrance Free and protein free no alcohol it amazing I used ouida unbelievable Bonds shampoo and it's amazing wavy and curly looks good
