How to Apply Eyeliner on VERY Hooded Eyes 

It's so annoying to have all these RU-vidrs demonstrating hooded eye techniques when they clearly don't have hooded eyes.... very much appreciated this video!

I have extremely hooded eyes, and it’s a struggle bcs my fold is so low that both legs of the wing have to go over the fold. My eyes are also uneven. I’ve spent the last year practicing different techniques daily and I’m now at a point where I can wing my eyeliner and feel comfortable enough to go out with winged eyeliner. But having watched allllllll the tutorials, let me say I love this one so much! It’s the first time someone has eyes that are as hooded as mine!

This is the hooded eye winged eyeliner video that I've been looking for. It's so freaking hard and I always second guess myself when I try to apply it the way you did (because it looks weird when you raise your eyebrow). Keeping your eyebrow relaxed is the key and the part that I have the most trouble with. Now that I've watched this, I know to trust the process. Thank you for sharing and for showing the thoroughness of your application

Thank you SO so much for this - you are the first i have found, that have actually really hooded eyes. Mine are just like yours, and i have been struggeling so much, and have allways been so frustrated, that i can’t have pretty eye makeup. I would love it, if you did a similar tutorial with a full eye makeup look, if that is something you would like to do. I have tried following so many tutorials, but since noone actually have such hooded eyes, nothing seems to work for me. I am so Happy I have found you! Thank you. 🌺

Oooor, in my case, just drop it, it will look stupid anyway. I'm aging, it's getting saggier and even more hooded. Now I just apply a soft black eyeshadow with an angled brush and make it a"wing". It's way more forgiving.

I use a stamp for the flicked/wing and fill in with liquid liner. I use powder to line my eyes first along the upper lash line then go in with liquid liner(waterproof wet n wild noir)

My eyes are exactly like this (except I don't have gorgeous eyes the color of beach glass!). But my hoods are just like this and I must also do the little Thor lightning on my lids to get the winged effect. Regular peeps just don't get it!

Liquid always gets me frustrated, I can use powder and do a wingv, but with the Liquid uugghh , but watching this helped

i have small very hooded eyes, but i love eyeliner, and since i'm a beginner at makeup, i hope this tutorial will help me somehow! tomorrow i will try to use these tips and i'll update you if they'll work or i'm just really bad at it hahaha (tysm in advance btw)

Makeup lover here I have very hooded eyes & Turing 38 this year there starting to get a little bit creepy my top tips ; no more glitter! , stick w/mattes , use SMALL makeup brushes (Trust me!) , creating a “fake” crease w/translation shade,is life changing !( I use my bronzer or contour & w/my eyes open create a soft crease I’m telling u it just makes the eye look a little more polished & soft! Loved this video thank u

This is wonderful to see. My additional challenge is not only are my hooded eyes very deep set, but since I am 60, that skin is very loose, and the eyeliner pulls the skin with it, which obviously doesn’t create a straight line. Do you have any tips for that? Thank you so much!

THANK YOU for zooming in nice and close!! I’m so sick of all these tutorials where they’re 20ft away from the camera and go “wow look at that! Can you guys see that?!” Like NO no we cannot.

I just line my lashes from the outside to the middle of my eye. It looks weird if I take liner all the way across the lashes. I have always done like this and it makes my eyes pop nicely. I never wear a wing. When I was a teen I used to do a small flick, but my eyes weren't hooded then. It's OK to not go with what is in fashion. It makes you look unique.

Yeahhh… I’ve tried this eyeliner once or twice in my lifetime and I settled on that it’s not meant to be. there are cooler ways to eye makeup that doesn’t take an hour to try and make symmetrical. Like Veronica Lake, I not only share her name but the characteristic of having one hooded eye. I don’t need winged eyeliner like every other gal out there that can do it in 5 minutes. What’s funny is, I can do the liner just fine on my left eye, then defeated when I get to my right. 😅

My eyelid folds are very similar to yours. Plus i have a scar on one of them! This was very helpful. Excited to try before my shower 😂

This is a wonderful tutorial. This is how I used to do a wing with liquid liner but ever since my hood drooped even lower (I’m 63) every time I blink the liner, which hasn’t dried yet, transfers all over. So frustrating.😢

Problem with faking eye anatomy you don't have is each time you look anywhere (especially down) this crazy crooked line is in such stark contrast that those looking upon you can't see anything else. 😂 I've found it's best to fill the whole thing in. Your lid will be mostly black, but if your doing a wing it's dramatic anyway. Try it, it's actually Sexier. 🤷‍♀️
