All UK BRP and BRC cards will come to an end on 31.12.2024. Anyone travelling outside UK will be required to have an eVisa from 01.01.2025 onwards.

Once you create an UKVI account, might take a couple days (for me 3 weeks) before the form appeared. Had already received 2 reminders to complete and each time there was no 'form' to start the process. Be patient, log in after couple days or week and see if it appears. Elsewhere here and other videos users are asked to re-install app, think this is unnecessary. So be patient. When it comes to using the App, make sure the phone settings allow for NFC (contactless payment) and this is enabled. Also, if you have a phone protector, remove it when you scanning the chip otherwise you will do this a dozen time each failing. All the best all!

Apply for eVisa first and then renew your BRP if you want. Until 31.12.2024 you will need to continue to carry your BRP card if you travel.

At the moment, you dont need eVisa but you can create UKVI account to apply for eVisa once you get your BRC/BRP card. You can use eVisa to travel but you must carry your BRC/BRP when travel till 31.12.2024. (Everyone will be required to have eVisa to travel from 01.01.2025 onward)

UKVI UPDATES. I think i have successfully created the E-Visa . I received an email saying the E-Visa was ready for viewing and logged on. Im guessing the actual E-Visa is the photograph and the brief information displayed, showing how long the applicant is allowed to remain in the UK. The information stated "Status - PROTECTED". Is this the actual Visa ?. Also, how does this system operate when entering the UK?. Do you need to actually need to show this on your smartphone screen, or does your country of origin passport trigger the information automatically to the UK border staff ?.

Hi. No, It is not actual eVisa, sometimes it takes time (days/weeks) to view your eVisa and sometimes you can view it immediately. UKVI will provide further information about it by the end of this year. You must carry your upto date passport and BRP when travelling outside UK till 31.12.2024. eVisa will be linked to your passport so UK border officers will be able to access your digital status via their systems should they need to. You will not need to show them your eVisa but you will be able to view it. You will be required only your passport and eVisa when travelling from 01.01.2025 onwards

@UKVI.updates . Thank you for your reply. What form does the actual E-Visa take ?..... The page I viewed had all my information, including the date limit of my stay in the UK, right to work, etc, and the passport type photo I provided. I know the processing could take some time, but the latest email from the Home office said my E -Visa is ready to view, so I assumed it meant now. My BRP card expires on Dec 31st 2024, and my understanding is that the Home Office stresses that I must have the E-Visa online ready before the end of 2024, because applications can't be made after then. on or before Dec 31st 24 , because the E-Visa replaces all BRP cards, whether valid or not. Nothing in the emails I have received so far, either in inviting me to apply, or during the step by step application process, tells me that having applied, I need to wait until closer to the end of the year. Of course I understand that it's impossible for an applicant to know that once applied, how long it will take to view the Visa. The problem then, is that although i applied at the end of May, i cannot be certain that I have applied successfully, despite following all the prompts, until I actually view the Visa. I'm confused why I would be invited to view my Visa, if it hadn't already been processed and was available.

You should renew your BRP card as everyone must carry a BRP card when traveling outside the UK by 31.12.2024 whether you have an eVisa or not. From 01.01.2025 everyone will be required to have an eVisa while traveling but you can apply and get an eVisa anytime before the end of this year.

@@UKVI.updates I tried creating UKVI account with Passport but could not proceed with immigration Id check with Indian Passport as there is no chip and hence I have to use BRP for Immigration Id check. But both document ids (UKVI - passport creation doc and BRP) mismatched and I could not proceed further. When I login back (ukvi -passport account) I lost eVisa link. So now both ukvi accounts have no eVisa links to proceed. Can you please advise whats the next step?

Hello.. I did create the account. When i log in , it takes me to the page shown in 5:07 min in this video. But i cant see any of those options mentioned in this video. It only shows " you have no recent applications". I do have my ILR expires on Dec. So Im not sure wat to do I did try log in using my lap top , ipad , phone.but it all say the same thing. Im a bit worried. Not sure wat to do. Could u give me a hand here pls. Thanks.

Hi has there been progress? I'm facing the same problem after creating an account and signing in it says "you have no recent applications" in the form section. Does not show 'link your e-visa to your account' like it is supposed to.

I got my BRP card with expiry date on 22/12/2024 (not 31/12/2024), as I have to apply the ILR in thisAugust. I just got email to do eVisa and it didn’t show the Form details during processas . Can’t continue the process. Is it not for me to do eVisa ?

You might put wrong details such as wrong expiry date of your BRP instead of 31/12/24. Make sure you provided all correct details and if it still doesnt work then create another account using different email ID or try again on different phone or reinstall the app

You can either delete the first one or just leave it. Actually eVisa is online record of your visa/immigration status which will be linked to your passport. If you are still confused then you can discuss with UKVI on phone.

I followed the vedio after signed in the UKVI account i cant find any forms. It says you have no application under the form. The page is blank for me. I couldnt able to do further application. Im not sure why i cant see the form

After hours of trying it didn't worked so I signed out and gone to first email I got from visa office thought of start it again but once I put all the things it automatically taken me to the to the page where it had a link to start like it showed in vedio. And the remaining process is same as the vedio. Try this hope it work for u.

Put the BRP face up on a table and then put ur phone on top of it. Do not touch them. It will scan it.

Firstly, place your mobile on the card, soon you see it says to move the card, do accordingly and then again place the mobile on the card. Just watch the graphics carefully and do accordingly.

At 5.03 in the video, when I sign in my account and open (my Form link), I don't see what the video shows, I see this message: you have no recent application which is not the case, I applied for visa and received my biometric card by post, and an email from the home office stating that my application for ILR is accepted and asked me to create UKVI account to access my eVisa. I tried to open my account to do what you did in the video starting from 5.03 but I found no form. So, any advise please as I need urgently to get the share code for work. Many thanks

Open the email which you received during creating eVisa account. Sign in to your eVisa account and follow the steps or try on another phone or reinstall the app and check again.
