Hmm... I have a personal luxury vehicle I'm using to drive for Uber and Lyft with. I still have an auto loan on it thru Chae Bank but wonder if I can some how convert that to a commercial vehicle? Would I have to buy a commercial vehicle and if so, how hard is it to get a loan for it under the newly formed S-Corp business? There is so much to this that your layout is likely a very rough layout as situations like I described above would make getting a TCP very hard to obtain unless you got cash.

From what I know you cannot have a cosigner for commercial loan. Because you are a cosigner for your business. The loan is for the business and you are a cosigner. There is no way to add the 3rd person.

Hi Bro, when you get your tcp permit and start drive uber black for yourself is that mean you have fleet account and you can have some drivers which they work under your tcp and rent a car from you ?
Never use your personal address for business, ever. You don’t want an angry or mentally disturbed customer to find your “business address” and come knocking on your door with your family unprotected. Use a Private mail service like the UPS store or get a mail box at the post office for all your business mail needs.

@beq1992 if they add your car in their tcp and their company, it will risky for your car if they report police they lost the car, you will lose your car, all of your car is under their company name, you are just the third party.
Additionally, S corp allows for you pay yourself a salary as a distribution not a withdrawal, the former saves loads on taxes and makes you a payroll employer as well. If you add drivers later it's also generally easier to already be a s corp.

You want people to sue your company, not you personally. You need to protect your home, personal property and personal bank accounts from being taken by the courts if you lose a lawsuit.

As a TCP driver you don't need to live off Uber. Market yourself or work with someone to help with initial marketing like a website and business cards, possibly social media links to website and make your own rates. To start use what Uber charges to base your rates until you learn where your expenses are and what you need to cover them and any expansion, personal wealth goals you have.

Consider reaching out to an established limo service and inquire about leasing from them. Your lease payment will include the required commercial insurance and whatever your offset has been agreed upon with the limo service owner.

Hey Kush I think this is really nice of you to put this info out there but I think it’s also important to think about all of the other drivers that are gonna be out on the road flooding the market. The market is already saturated as is. Used to be very profitable to do black now it’s becoming more of grind. Working much longer hours and waiting a very long time in between trips. The more drivers out on the road the less trips for you or anyone else doing it. Just wanted to give you that food for thought. It’s good to sometimes see things in different perspectives. Hi Shimon. Thats a good point. I think its better to have more drivers then monopoly of a few people who do it under the umbrella and noone knows how to get in. I tried to do uber black for almost 2 years with no luck to learn how to do it. I call it fair play. Also not everyone will stay with uber black. Some transfer to private clients and some change to something else. I hardly see myself doing it full time for a long time))
If you are creating your own company as shown here, staying solely on Uber/Lyft Black is a serious disservice to yourself. As a for-hire driver you can/should be marketing yourself and services beyond Uber/Lyft.
@@AKing99 I wish. I don’t think that it works like that. I’m pretty sure that commercial insurance is just expensive in general being that you are being insured for a much higher limit and the nature of the industry.
