Hi! I just don’t understand where I have to begin this process from? I am asking NCEES they tell me: ask from the Board. I am asking Board and they tell me: ask NCEES. The thing is-I have master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering from outside of the US. And also I evaluated it in WES. But now I wanted to start to prepare for FE exam, but… I can’t understand all processes.

@user-ny5fv6gi6q It's understandable that feeling lost navigating the process of taking the FE exam with foreign credentials. The back-and-forth between NCEES and the Board can be frustrating, but I'm here to help you get started. Here's a breakdown of the steps you need to take: 1. Verify Credentials Evaluation: Ensure your foreign degrees have been evaluated by a NCEES-approved credential evaluation service like World Education Services (WES). The evaluation report should detail your coursework equivalency to US engineering programs. 2. Check Eligibility with Your State Board: Each state board has its own licensing requirements for engineers. Contact your desired state board (where you plan to work) and provide them with your credentials and evaluation report. They will confirm your eligibility to take the FE exam. 3. Register for the FE Exam: Once approved by the state board, you can register for the FE exam on the NCEES website. NCEES handles exam administration nationwide. 4. Prepare for the Exam: Utilize NCEES resources like the FE exam information booklet, sample questions, and practice exams. Invest in preparation materials like study guides, review courses, and online practice platforms. Consider contacting the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) for guidance and support. By following these steps and utilizing the provided resources, you'll be well on your way to preparing for and taking the FE exam with your foreign credentials. All the best!

Hi, I am from Nepal, I passed my FE exam and also have my credentials evaluated by NCEES. They meet the US requirement. Do I need to send transcript separately to state board as well?
@PasstheFEExam
@PasstheFEExam 6 месяцев назад
@bigyatasitoula Whether you need to send your transcript separately to the state board depends on the specific requirements of your state board. Here's how to find out: **Check the State Board Website: Most state boards have detailed information on their websites outlining the Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer In Training (EIT) application process. Look for a section on "Application Requirements" or "Licensing Requirements." This section should specify if a transcript is needed in addition to the NCEES evaluation. **Contact the State Board: If the website information is unclear, directly contact the state board you're applying to. They can definitively answer whether they require your transcript along with the NCEES evaluation. Here's some additional information to consider: **NCEES evaluation typically verifies the legitimacy and equivalency of your engineering degree to US standards. This might be sufficient for some state boards. **Some boards might require additional documentation to verify specific course content or program accreditation. **It's always best to err on the side of caution and submit all required documents to avoid delays in your application process. Here are some resources that might be helpful: National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES): ncees.org/ Find your state's engineering licensing board: ncees.org/ (This website allows you to search for your state's board)

Hello, Thank you for your videos. Please can international graduate from Nigeria apply for this?
@PasstheFEExam
@PasstheFEExam 9 месяцев назад
@trulyincivilengineering Yes, an international graduate from Nigeria can apply for the PE Exam, but the process will involve some additional steps compared to US graduates. Here's a breakdown of the requirements and things to keep in mind: Basic Requirements: *Education: You must have a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program. Accreditation for Nigerian universities can be found through the National Universities Commission (NUC) or the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). *Experience: You need 4 years of relevant engineering experience under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). This experience can be gained in Nigeria or the United States. Additional Requirements for International Graduates: *Credential Evaluation: Your Nigerian engineering degree must be evaluated by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and *Surveying (NCEES) to ensure it meets US standards. This process involves submitting your transcripts, course descriptions, and other documents to NCEES for assessment. *Additional Coursework: Based on the NCEES evaluation, you may need to take additional coursework at an ABET-accredited institution in the United States to fill any gaps in your education. *State-Specific Requirements: Each US state has its own licensing board with specific requirements for PE licensure. You will need to contact the board in the state where you want to be licensed to confirm their specific requirements for international applicants. Helpful Resources: *NCEES website: ncees.org/ *NCEES International Applicants page: ncees.org/ *ABET website: www.abet.org/ *National Universities Commission (NUC) website: www.nuc.edu.ng/ Remember, the process of applying for the PE Exam as an international graduate can be complex and time-consuming. It's important to start early and carefully research the requirements of the NCEES and the state licensing board where you want to be licensed. I hope this information helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Hello Sir Thanks for the Video Is there any way to apply as a International student I have done my engineering from India! Could you please help me with some insight?
@PasstheFEExam
@PasstheFEExam 8 месяцев назад
@zahidiirfan7006 Yes, you can apply for the FE Exam as an international student from India! Here's what you need to know: Eligibility: Degree: You must have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited program. Since your degree is from India, you'll need to have it evaluated by an accreditation agency like NCEES Engineering Accreditation Services (EAS) or Engineering Accreditation Board (EAC) to ensure it meets US standards. Exam availability: Check if the FE exam is offered at a Pearson VUE test center in your country or a nearby one. State board requirements: Each state has its own licensing board with specific requirements for international candidates. Make sure you understand the requirements for the state where you wish to become licensed. Application process: Create an NCEES account: Register on the NCEES website and select "International" as your country. Schedule your exam: Choose a test center and exam date based on availability. Submit your application: Pay the registration fee and include necessary documents, such as degree transcripts, accreditation evaluation report, and passport. Meet other state-specific requirements: Contact the engineering board in your chosen state for any additional documentation or approvals needed. Consider seeking guidance from an advisor or professional familiar with engineering licensure for international students. Remember, passing the FE Exam is just the first step towards becoming a licensed engineer in the US. Each state has specific requirements for work experience and the PE Exam. I hope this information is helpful!
