Good morning sir I started 2year ago I bought a mixed box of coins in Conroe Texas there 400 to wheat penny's 20 are so Indian head penny's 1888 to 1908, there are that seem to be tampered with many foreign coins the thing is for someone like me who is learning this overwhelming to me. I pray that the person I bought them is honest about where the coins came from I am living in Splendora Texas area. I am learning coins for sure
Thank you for all the time you have taken to educate the armature home coin collector. I am learning and getting all the questions I’ve always had answered by your videos. Thanks
Good morning Daniel from the shaky side of the country. It is said that, “You can’t take it with you when you go!” So I have decided after much thought that I’m not going. Thanks for another good video

Hi Daniel. Thanks for the information. I purchased a storage locker with lots of coins and stamps. The Gentleman was a USMA West Point Graduate and WW2 Veteran. I sold the Gold coins but still have many more.
Thank you Daniel for all of your videos. I know its been ypu through your great teaching videos that I know my way around a cent and other coins as well. Ireally do appreciate the knowledge that you have made available to me and. Others who are like me. I came in to collecting coins because I found a 1943 copper cent. Then I became very interested. In collecting. At first I was just trying to sell my coin. So I joined P C G S. And although I could not afford it I figured it would be worth it in the end. Boy did I figure wrong. Well my brain is a bit slower since the car accident in 86. Well anyway i just wanted to thank you for letting me learn at my own pace. There was no pressure . And I have realized through the years that I dont deel real well under any sort of pressure. I know that you are the only reason that I kept at coin collecting till today . I think that my oldest coiis a denier 1560s or close to it. Its been so long since Ive even looked at my coins. What I do now days is coin roll hunt. Just today I found a 1937 and a 1942 and a 1959 in one roll. A good roll for once. Well I.always get decent rolls so any way I just wanted to express my grattitude and that GOD for giving me this Lif we are all so lucky to b born into the world in this great time . Thanks Daniel . I started rambling . So Im sorry for that. Im getting better at recognition of my actions. Best wishes to you and your family. Good hunting to you.
Thank's Daniel for a wonderful and great video you share to us , it really helps a lot for me as a new beginner in coin collecting hobby , God bless you and more power in your station.
Thank you Daniel I do have a collection that I'm trying to figure out what the value of it is so I will take your information and use it wisely look forward to our next video
We need more people like you to help us. You are the best hope to buy from you in the future thanks for all you do. Please keep making videos for us 12:15 12:25
I'm relatively new at collecting and I have issues of distinguishing different errors like for example double does and double struck coins. I'm learning more each day and I'm on NGC and now whatnot but I really don't know if I'm actually ready. Thank you for all the great advice!
Thank you, Daniel, for your videos. I got into coin collecting recently and I always learn so much from you. A loved one gave me their coin collection and asked me to appraise it. The photo grading guide will really help.
@@jaywoo75 I’m really sorry about that I’m a German I have spend almost my life in the USA 🇺🇸. I live in south California I would really love to know more about you if you don’t mind can we exchange email address please
Well, this was some amazing information. In the beginning, I couldn't tell you what I paid for anything. Luckily, I Used PayPal for most of my purchases, so I do have records I can refer too. Some I will have research, but I have been keeping receipts now for quite sometime. It will take a long time to appraise, but it is definitely worth the time. Thank you once again, Daniel! BTW, I got my 1999 Silver Proof set. You Rock!!!!
I just inherited a sizeable but only loosely organized coin collection. this is my first attempt at researching how to determine its worth. looks like i got lucky.
thank you for the information on (how to), my coin collection are from around the world, i've also been collecting over 50yrs, it would take the rest of my life to sort through the hundreds of thousands of coins that i have, i do have favourites but even they amount to thousands, i will got though just them, a few each day.
Good Afternoon to you Shawn, Blue Ridge Mountain Silver hound and hope you have a wonderful Day too. You make my Day when I watch your show every one of them.
Shawn of Blue Ridge Mountain Coins Silverhound is the most popular and I have to say that I really like listening to his show and I would recapping it if you want to be a little bit of the Coins that you can see and make a few things that you didn't know and make you some money for your self.
@@w.susieparker8513 not the most popular just one of the popular coin channels. Blue ridge is fine and he knows of me. I am a coin dealer so I do this for a living.
@@CoinHELPu I'm going to do my first ANACS submission soon. I would normally do NGC or PCGS, however, I have some pennies and nickles that would make more sense to just send them off to ANACS while they have their 10 for 107 deal going. If any of them come back MS67 or above, I would then send to PCGS/NGC for a crossover. The pennies and nickles I have owned for a long time now. If they just came back ms65/66 I wouldn't really be losing any money using anacs. Coins are hundreds of dollars in value at 67. I am glad I watch your videos and decided to look into them. Thanks again.
Honesty is the best policy. Look up the word "honesty" in the coin collectors' dictionary and the image you find there is one of Daniel and CoinHelpU 😄 Seriously...thanks for your content and educaton to the community.
In Chesapeake, Va.I can't find a Coin shop anywhere here and I have Coins that I would like to know what they are going for. I don't want to give them away no more than anyone else would. Have a great day and I will catch up with you later.
Great Daniel I think that was great help I'm enjoying learning I'd like to see more of your shop and values of your coins. And what do you look for when your cherry picking another's shop or a table at a show what questions you ask other dealers i look forward to seeing your videos
I know a little about coins, I see so many coins in Facebook, U-tube and other places, and I keep looking to see a comparison between the one I have with other coins, I keep looking and I find nothing related to the one I have, And that is when I know mine has a better value.😎
Apart from the subject at present! How much should anyone trust eBay and what is being sold on the web site! I bought a 1914 d Lincoln Penny which turned out to be a fake counterfeit coin! And yet I know that I have to use discretion when buying on eBay! The sellers should be held accountable for items sold on eBay! And for the sake of it all! I trust your judgment with all that you give to us collectors in the education and knowledge that you give! Many thanks go to you, Sir!
A seller can say I didn't know so at that point you have to see a pattern of selling fakes to commit fraud. But you can't get them prosecuted because it is hard to prove. The solution is to have an expert who's only job is to keep ebay clean on a daily basis. However, ebay knows these same sellers will go somewhere else and ebay sells would plummet.
Excellent, as always. Virtually every collection I’ve appraised suffers from poor storage. Scratches, hairlines, PVC damage and ambient spotting abound! Non-plasticized clear flips will prevent most of these damages.
Thanks! I don't have a coin "Collection." I really don't know about the coins I've collected over the years, nor the coins my father in law left. Which really would have been better coins if the family hadn't shoved them in a weathering shed a few decades.
Thank you for subscribing to my channel, I'm doing shout-out and mentions to people who have been brilliant supporting my channel, I hope to throw some views and subscribers or even help with some sales on your website. My way of saying thank you.
i have a 1975 dime no s proof and 1968 no s proof dime its the same as in the pcsg coin value but i can't see a right person or coin shop to assist me to be graded give suggestions thx
Hi Dan, how are you doing??. Good I hope. My name is Doug S. I wanted to tell you or I should say ask you a couple questions. #1. I believe I have found maybe the first doubled die 1982D small date reverse. I've looked and looked. And it's almost identical to the Philadelphia small date. Also I have found a 1983 doubled die reverse #1. And last one. A 1970s Kennedy 40% U. N. C. Half. And Mr Dan I honestly believe it's a doubled die. If so would it be the first proof Kennedy S. Doubled die obverse found. T. Y Dan. Have a great day buddy!!!. You rock!!!.
I use a wire brush to clean my coins! It shines them and smoothes them some. And gets rid of any corrosion, rust, or grease. Another idea you might consider is to use a weak acid solution (like oven cleaner) in a glass of vinegar to soak your coins overnight. This should bring out a nice metallic shine. Coins is a fun hobby! But don’t handle them without cleaning off the germs and viruses. Sand off any sharp edges with an Emory cloth, especially around the edges. No one wants a germie rough-edged slug of metal.
I know this is an old video and it is quite helpful. My question is what if what you have everything is known? You have a graded “X” of whatever and price guide lists it at $1200. They’re selling on eBay for $1k. What’s a dealer going to offer for it and will that offer be the same from one person who has no clue, to the next guy who has been collecting for 20 years?
Good morning or afternoon daniel i had a question on a coin that i found a couple months ago its a 1982 d small date that weighs 3.1 grams and i dont know what to actually do with it i know its the one because me and my dad check it and we had a “professional” and come and look at it please respond in the comments if see this. I like the video and thank you all the info about coins.
Add 10 to 20% from the Grey Sheet to sell on Ebay? - I notice that coins on ebay usually sell for 20% less than what I found on the Red book or even NGC or PCGS Price guide when sold on ebay. So the Grey Sheet seems to be right on when it comes to selling to dealers. What does everyone else find about the %. Suggestion: Put the full price on Ebay and let people OFFER YOU a price. Have it that if someone wants to pay you 80% value TAKE IT. But talk to people even if they offer you $1 because it changes the algorithm of Ebay to have more people SEE your listing.
I always like your presentation of coinage . I just heard there is a 2015 double ear ha I have a few and was wondering if there were any but heres one for you I also have 2016 s which also look as if they have a double ear if I could take afew pics of them and send them to you I would like for you to look on them Thank You keep doing what do do best the love of the coin
I do appreciate your candor and advice and your help in these matters .I always try to watch your videos keep up the great work we all need your advice and knowledge on coins ThankYou again Roger Curry
@@rogercurry7553 there's really not much help I can give. CONECA can examine your coin for you or try to find a match on their site or Wexler's doubled die website.
Yes you can buy single issues of Greysheet. I use both Greysheet and CoinWorld Trends for appraisal......Greysheet for close to what you might actually get.....Trends (retail) for insurance values.
@@CoinHELPu Yes. I'm a "non-dealer", and now have a subscription. I used to order single issues before any major show. They're $35 a copy, and can be ordered thru their website.
I started collecting a short time ago I have a few dollars with a star and I would like to know the value of these. How can I know the value of these if I don't have the book of the bills. Thanks Carmen
Good day sir I have a autralian 8 dollar coin queen elizabeth II comemorative coin year of the goat 2015.. give an Idea what price i can sell it.. thanks and God bless
Here's a question that has probably been asked many times. Can a coin struck for circulation be graded as mint state? I have two whole rolls of bank wrapped 2019 P nickles. I picked up a box from my CU and after opening 3-4 rolls of nothing up 2019 P I set 2 rolls aside that have 2019 enders. The CU said they get sent in from the Federal Reserve. These coins are relatively unmarked, very little to no baggage nicks and near pristine. I know they are pretty much all worth no more than FV, but still. I'm curious.
All business strike coins are mint state until they circulate and obtain wear. And the newer coins are known for being well struck and "pristine" so they're not worth as much when graded high as their vintage counterparts.
What should a person pay for junk or coin silver? How many times face value. Not looking for rare dates just average 64 and down dimes quarters and half's.
Hello there, ive got variety of error and some 1960,,-2000 us penny, some are looks similars to the penny that askinh worth money? Can u help me with this maybe we could hit some cash with it?
I’m organizing all of my change/coins based off of the year it was made…. Any recommendations on a website, app, spreadsheet set up, to check by the year to find rare coins or coins worth money? I feel like when I google by the year, I get all kinds of things pop up, but not a single link that goes through those years by including everything to look out for.
Hi Daniel. May I please speak to you personally. I came into having a coin collection when I was 13 years old. I am now over my 40s. I have been googling trying to arrange the coins etc. I find it very confusing and overwhelming and do not know where to start or rather i do but there are no apps available where i can just take a photo and get feedback. I would really appreciate a video call with you because you get straight to the initial problems faced by novices. I have lots of coins from all over the world and i really can't even begin to organise.; I have tried but there's too much information for me to even start to decipher info for even 1 coin! any advice will be appreciated. I am from the UK. I would really appreciate a one to one conversation with you?
