I don't know why but I'm just afraid to ask my mum. She is always so strict and she thinks RU-vid is a waste of time but I really want to have a channel!😭

A good tip is to tell them ways it could improve yourself. 1. learn how to take constructive criticism 2. teach you to be willing to work hard at something 3. learn how to be yourself 4. be in front of people 5. Help improve grammar

My tip: Tell your parents all the skills RU-vid will teach you! In doing RU-vid for a little under a year, I've learned how to: -edit videos -do simple graphic design -market content and products -use a computer, convert files into other types of files, find files, etc. -communicate with others better -grow a thick skin against bullies and haters -manage my time well -work harder All because of RU-vid! One of the reasons that my parents let me have a channel is because they saw the valuable skills it could teach me! Plus, I've made so many amazing friends on RU-vid!

how to get your parents to let you have a youtube channel 1. treat them like a goddess 2. be responsible 3. do well in school 4. practice your puppy face if they say no (i haven't asked my mom yet but i know this will work)

Thanks for the advice!! I’m planning on asking my parents (again) when I turn 13 , which is in just above a year. Im pretty sure 13 (ideally though nobody follows it 🤣) is the age that you can have youtube anyway, so it should be fine. But I think the reason that they refuse it is because I never ask them before I do it. My tiny tips for you ;): Step 1: Always ask your parents before you do it, even if they say no its better they know what you actually want. Just in case they, one day, decide to let you make one. Step 2: DONT go behind their back. Take it from me, just dont do it other wise your parents WILL eventually find out about it. The result wont be very nice... Step 3: just be patient! Dont rush your parents. It can be hard for them to trust you too. im not saying that these tips are definitely going to get the approval from your parents. Theyre just some things to try!!

But I love music and I want to share my music with other people. I want to start a instrumental music channel. I’ve asked my mom about this and even promised not to show my face, name, address, or anything. Just to make and record my music, edit my own videos, and post following all the guidelines. And thanks to this video I’m starting to work for a channel. My mom has asked me to work on a project and show her this summer. If I do a good job she’ll let me start the channel. But what you say is true. My parents are worried about me getting hurt if someone hacks me and finds our where I live. I think once they look at the requirements and look into all the stuff that goes into it, I might be able to start! Thank you for the help!!!

I have had channels with my Bestfriend before. My mom was nice with it and got us stuff but it’s been a year almost since our last channel. I have been wanting to start my own channel for awhile. I have said jokingly I could have a channel on RU-vid but she just laughs. I don’t want her to judge me. I am one of the people who care a lot about what people think and get scared.
