What model of Butane torch do you use. When you drill out a hoesel do you use the appropriate reamer 0.370 parallel, 0.355 tapered or a standard drill bit? Appreciate your videos. 11/27/23

Good informative video! I would like to ask what did the swing weight end up being? I noticed no installed swing weights added so did you use lead or tungsten to achieve an ideal swing weight? As I am wanting to build a set of irons using 75 gram stiff Axiom shafts this info would help me very much.

I pulled 105 gram shafts and the golfer wanted them to be the same. Installing 105g shaft would have changed the SW of this build. As far as swing weight is concerned, don’t sweat an exact swing weight number. You are putting in lighter shafts for a reason. To expect the SW to be the same is not realistic. Put in the shafts and have some fun

What would I have to do to convince you to do an honest in-depth review of the Mizuno MP-67 irons? They’re definitely getting old, but I’m heavily debating on making a switch from cavity back - Muscle back, and getting those clubs.

since I doubt they made a lefty version chances of the happening is slim. However, if you are looking to convert to blades, the new models are a great choice.

The coning of tip is required for the old Ping eye2 irons if I remember correctly.

With a Taylormade SIM2 MAX fairway wood (I think bonded hosel), is it simple enough to switch between other TM shafts if the tip size is the same? I'm thinking of swapping out the Aldila ladies NV 45 for one of the Ventus Blues.

Is there a benefit to ordering a shaft pured or is it a gimmick?

That is a chicken or egg question. Some will say nothing suggests it will help and other will not play a club without it being pured. I also think it can be done in an analog way for less but it you are interested in a better club then yes

cosmetic, I think most golfers would like less noise on the shaft at a address and,,,, if you watch on the TV this weekend when the pros finish their swings you can see the manufacturer labels. Which of course they like lol

Hey McGolf, I got a co worker selling a Ventus Red shaft for $50 bucks with TM adapter already installed, but it's not the real expensive big Daddy Ventus, why do they make cheap copycat stock shafts to fool us.

that is to keep costs down on the production of the golf club and I am sure the OEM has tested it to ensure the performance is to their desired result. that has been occurring for years. Although some OEM do use the real shaft. IMO due to lack of funds for R and D for shafts. Wilson and Mizuno come to mind

Yes I hate this. I think it’s criminal and so stupid what they do with the Fake Ventus that looks exactly like real one, minus ‘Velocore’ painted on tip section. People want to play what they see on TV and they do this to obviously sell more clubs. I once heard a big OEM CEO say he refused to pay more than $9 for a stock shaft that would go in their marquee driver product. So that’s not to say these fake, mass-produced shafts are total garbage, but at that price & production scale, there are definitely inconsistencies and lots of lemon shafts that affect performance
