Thank you! We just got this couch and a heck of a time with the legs. It's like drilling into steel. That must be some very solid wood back there. I guess the trick is to just keep drilling until it finally goes through? Will try this again tomorrow...
It's absolutely like steel! I've tried making pilot holes, cutting through the black fabric, and everything I can think of to get these stupid legs attached. @miami7 Did you finally get them attached?
We just ordered a living room set from Value City Furniture. It was delivered and set up by their people. They didn't have the feet for one of the pieces. We went to the store and told them about it, they asked if I have the tools to do this. I do have a VSR drill, but it's AC powered with no torque clutch, making it a "definite maybe". Going to put it on them and let them send it with a tech.
If I could add something. I was alone and it was difficult to hold in place. I turned it upside down on my coffee table and had all foor feet installed in less than 2 minutes.
