A big project’s success is built upon a great many smaller techniques and practices, such as this. “The devil is in the detail”. Excellent advice here. Thank you.

That's a very neat, tidy and effective way to work. I'm going to try that as I tend to unpack everything and then spend ages trying to find where did I put that thing!

When one has to assemble a 20+ cabinet kitchen, week after week, it is all in the details. Speed isn't the only plus, though. Ensuring that no damage is done to the parts is even more critical.

Hi Rannes, If you don't mind I have two more questions 🙂. I have assembled two of the base cabinets. one of the cabinet sides is warped. I suspect this is pretty common and assume that when you screw the cabinets together that they pull themselves 'straight'. So, the question I have regarding this type of issue is: When do you return a cabinet vs just work with what comes out of the box? The second question is related to making the cabinets square. I find with my limited experience that using a square on a corner is not great, especially if the side panels are not flat. So, instead, I am using the diagonal corner measurement technique. If the diagonals are equal, then I know that the box is square. Is this system of checking square okay with the IKEA system? Once again, many thanks for all the videos and your website. They are incredible helpful.

Thank you for your comment. I'm happy that you find the videos helpful. I've never noticed that a side of a cabinet is warped so I'm not sure it's something to worry about. When you attach several cabinets to each other, tveyl straighten up I believe. Not something to worry about. Sometimes the higher pantry cabinets can be a bit barrel shaped so in some cases I push the sides in by adding a few screws through the side into the integrated shelf, which of course much be in the final position by then. Checking the the box is square by use of diagonal measurement is probably even better than the use of a carpenter square.

Your videos are very helpful. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am about to assemble some sections with sliding drawers. Wouldn’t it be easier to install the drawer sliders to the side of the Sektion frame before assembling the Sektion frame? This means the sliders will be fitted before the Sektion Frames are installed. Do you see any problems with this method? Many thanks.

Thank you for your feedback and the question. It is certainly possible to do as you suggest, but there are a few disadvantages. 1) The position of each rail needs to be clarified for every drawer slide you put In, apart from the bottom one. You would need to count holes as you won't have the drawer front from the previous drawer as a baseline. 2) You will have a lot of open boxes where you have only used the slides. Difficult to manage. 3) The slides might collect dust from any cutting going on above them. Should be avoided. Check this out. ru-vid.comzBeEI6RcIPY?feature=share

Great video, Raines I have a question: when doing the final securing of the upper row of cabinets, are you concerned that there is no method for attaching the bottoms of the cabinets (just the tops on the rail)? If you have a method, do you mind sharing? I have watched several of your videos but must have missed this detail, or haven’t yet watched one that is applicable to my question. Thanks in advance!

Hi Mark. Thanks 👍 No method, meaning I do nothing to keep the wall cabinets from swinging away from the wall. Gravity takes care of that. Unless someone deliberately pull on the cabinets, they won't move.
