Great video and tutorial. Now got to get myself a pendulum one (luckily I still kept the clock instead of chucking the whole clock away four years ago) as well as a normal movement one on another clock which died last month.

Thank you for this video! Bought a clock mechanism for my round that I painted on for a clock! Ordered a mechanism from Amazon and now have to send it back because the screw from mechanism didn't go through to the other side to put the hands. Just what you were saying. Alas, you are so right. Took me forever to find the right size hands. Looked on a ton of web sites. i love making clock and i love clock

24:15 i cut a fishshape (i have a fish tank xD) out of some acrylic and printed (at work we have a UV printer, that can print on flat things 👍) numbers on the back fin and some other stuff on the rest, and a clock was born xD i bought a complete clock kit (2 hour hands, 2 minute hands and one second hand included) at a local electronic store (cost: about 12€, so about 14$) and i was really lucky that it worked.. because i didn't know anything about clock making, and i bought one with a really short golden thingie (to use the technical term...) that almost wasn't long enough for the thickness of the acrylic xD i wish i had seen your tutorial before making one! you are a professional :) 👍👍

Thanks. Do you know anyone who shows HOW to WIRE-UP a quartz movement with a CHIME MOVEMENT? I have everything else together fine, but the instructions for connecting the wires, from movement TO Chime box mechanism isn’t clear... And THEN, setting the Chimes in sync with the TIME, is impossible to understand. I can’t wait until NOTHING is #MadeInChina🇨🇳 ‘cause, ALL their instructions are written in some Chinese syntax that never ever makes sense in English. 🙏 again

The movie is best of wastle

Sat through this waiting to see a quartz clock mechanism disasembled/reassembled and it never happened once. Don't bother watching this. Just full of useless information on how to attach movements to clocks which anybody with a bit of sense can do.
