Eerie that I have my '74 Challenger apart right now putting a front end repair kit (bushings, tie rods, upper control arms) along with a new steering box. I am thinking about a sway bar as well.

Was trying to install my sway away 1.14 bars last night on my 74 challenger with the same qa1 set up you have and it seemed off to me as well. Seemed Ike I had to really crank the adjuster way up in there. But I tried clocking it different and it wouldn't work that way it would have been way high like you said..it seemed so weird lol. I'm glad I seen your video it eased my mind.

I love your car! My dad had a 74 Challenger that looks very similar to yours when I was growing up. Brings back memories

Really good videos. Thank you. I’m in the process of picking suspension parts for my 70 cuda and this has been very helpful. I am starting to share the same concern as you with the hiem joints in some of the components.

Ive done the same on my 73, clocking the the T bar does nothing. Its all in the adjustment bolt....AWESOME...MOPAR 4 EVR.

Enjoyed the video, even though the audio was messed up you recovered well. Although - i am very jealous of the progress you made as I’m still looking at the insurmountable mountain that is my “Stitches“ Challenger. 😞.

Thanks! I've got over 20 year head start on you with my Challenger. On the bright side you have quite the leap ahead of me on my cuda!

@@LifeatSpeed I have to keep reminding myself I’ve only been working on this for a little over a year, and I took at least four months off of the year. I’m really excited to hear about the direction you’re going with your Cuda. Can’t wait!!! you know me. I love projects that anybody else would say are absolutely insane. 😎

You've made great progress on Stitches so far! I really hope to get real work done on the cuda project going soon

Cool video! I'd highly recommend using a gopro along with a mounted LED lighs along with your current face to camera setup. 👌👌👌

Thanks for the tip. Where would you recommend I mount the GoPro? I have a couple of them and an Insta360 I can put to use.

@@LifeatSpeed Mount it towards the component you are working on the car. Use the GOPRO shots as cutaway footage to compliment your face to camera overview. :)

Thanks for posting! Hmm, on those Saturday morning car shows, they do the same thing. The Stars of the show covered what happened during the commercial breaks. At which time, the interns did all of the messy /hard work. - Thus, can we assume that you had your interns do all the messy work? I noticed that all of the nuts and bolts were loose. Hmmmm :-)

LOL I wish I had interns, but I can't afford to hire any, so I get to do all the work 🙂

I would be very interested in seeing you test the new set up in different situations rather than a reprise on the install. Just my 2 cents. I am curious as to how my restored 73 Rallye will do with the stock suspension which is rebuilt with Moog bushings and ball joints - should be fun to compare! I did install new heavier strut rods. I had a 72 base 318 model which handled terribly. Also planning to put lowering springs on my 13 R/T when the resto costs on the 73 finally end.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I am definitely working on ways I can provide objective data driven comparison to see just how much the handling has improved with all the new components.

I'm trying to figure out the initial clocking of the lower. The service manual really doesn't say anything on it but I see one comment saying it doesn't matter. I was surprised to see you jacking it up to put in the socket, it sounds like you want to do it unloaded.

It depends on the torsion bars you're installing. In my case they are much larger in diameter than any factory option and the ends were clocked differently than OEM torsion bars. I'm also not running OEM lower bushings. I did have the torsion bar adjusters as loose as possible, which is really the loading for install. Using the jack made it much easier to get things lined up, especially doing the install by myself.
