For the prices they charge, I expect the bike to be assembled by a mechanic upon delivery. If Spec wants to be more than just another direct-to-consumer company they must offer more than their Logo on the frame.
So now it's $3k for a 105 alloy bike, I need a bunch of tools, and I have to work a shift to build up the bike; the way the bike shop used to do. This video is just weaning the customer out of expectation of value.
@@yonglingng5640 First bike delivered, seat post would not go in without damage. The second was better, but still marked up the CF pretty bad. It's set now and specialized isn't very responsive on the issue. I can live with it.
@@harriot1019 Carbon seatposts can never be inserted into seat tubes totally scratch-free, especially when there's carbon paste applied which will produce bite marks from the abrasive particles when clamped down.
@@yonglingng5640 I understand how it works. The first bike was defective according to the bike shop. The second is fine, and yes the carbon paste (which I added) leaves small abrasions.
Hey Vee, it can be quite tricky! I find if you focus on guiding the disk into the brake caliper everything else falls into place. You’ll need to move the derailleur as demonstrated here. Reach out to Specialized rider care if you still can’t figure it out 👍🏼
@@SpecializedUniversity I didn’t realize both parts of the derailer can move. I was only extending the lower part and not moving the upper part backwards. Hope this helps someone!

They say the new allez is 40 seconds faster in 40kilometers, if you go at 50 k/hr. I mean, this is a budget bike, for new riders, ain't nobody going to ride at 50k/hr for such a long time!!
@@roejogan1759 Even pros not cycling for 40km alone with 50km/h average. They doing that speed just to present a difference which is THEORETICAL at best. As long as dumb customers will be falling into this bullshit that long they will be shaved out of their money just to feel "faster" lol.
