Easily the best way i have seen on how to attach a dacron connector to the elastic. Thank you from a newcomer to pole fishing. Keep up the great informative videos, they really do make a difference. Thank you.
Great video kayleigh thanks for sharing a nice and simple way of connecting a dacron. Just starting coarse fishing again after a long break so buying new gear an early birthday present from my wife (lucky me) a Daiwa Matchwinner MW2 13m full package. Comes with x2 power kits and a match kit in which are going to be loaded with dura slip sizes 11,13,15 and now going to use your way of connecting my dacron nand to christen my pole with some nice carp or F1s thanks again 👍
Great video, hopefully weather permitting this week will be first time going this year, can’t wait to upgrade my elastic this week and will definitely be connecting up like this! 👍🌞🎣
wow thats made so much difference to the way i will now do mine. i suffer with arthritis, and find this kind of thing difficult, but that looks sooo simple x
Excellent I still use the old plastic connectors as I thought Dacron would be hard, but clearly it isn’t, please could you tell me what size Dacron connector goes with say a 6-8 and a 12-14 thank you 👍🏻🎣
@@KayleighDowdFishing hi, love the vids. Is the elastic supposed to be bit smaller than hole in bush? See lots of anglers put pole tip in water and pull elastic to help lubricate it but I thought you was supposed to stop water getting sucked back into pole tip. Confused as Graham West puts his dacron connectors on backwards which I suppose is to stop water entering pole tip end? Which tin of pears do you use when hemp fishing? Keep vids coming as love watching them and all the best in making them and for the competitions you will be fishing once we're back to normal.😃
Having seen a video, might be Andy May I’ve stopped using Dacrons, I just put a puller bead small end first up the elastic then tie a knot and snip of excess. After fitting the line I slide the bead overso the knot goes inside, comes off easily when finished fishing and easy to check wear on line,
Thank you, that's a nice video Kayleigh. I have a Preston Edge Monster pole which has long top kits (2.7m). When using a soft elastic I find I need to pull excessively through the side puller. To avoid this I want to reduce the length of elastic by adding a length of Dacron or monofilament. How would you suggest joining the elastic to dacron so that the knot could pass through the side puller.
Peter i was in same boat until I tried slik elastic in my edge monster. I've found the 12 to 14 is really good through the long top kits, don't bump fish if set slack and then of you have a few bigger fish in your peg tighten your elastic with puller bead. I've got slik 14 to 16 in the other top and caught carp to 8lbs down the margin and it made very easy work of them. Alot better than the last elastics I have been using.
