How to Attach a Tripod Head

Does your tripod or monopod head unscrew from its base when you try to rotate to the left? The head should rotate separately from where it connected to its legs. Follow this quick video to fix this problem and to properly attach your tripod head to its legs.

Ive found that you have to really tighten the head onto the body. I mean like tighter than what you can do with just your hands. I found that when i used a tool to really tighten it on good I could pan all day left and right and the head stays on.

Nope. My tripod head is flat on the bottom with no screw holes other than the 3/8.

Hello I have a Sirui R-3213X Tripod that has 3 screws for tightening. But I want to tighten down my Acratech 74mm Leveling Base to the tripod but that leveling base does not have a flat bottom. Do you know if and where I could replace the 3 short screws with 3 longer ones.

I have the same problem with manfrotto element smal tripod. The ballhead unscrewed with my camera on and I grabbed it the last sec. But the smal screw at the bottom won't do any difference in the matter of unscrewing. I very tried it,but it made no difference.

Leofoto LS-324CEX have 3 screws

Quick correction at 0:22 that is a 3/8" screw not a 1/4" screw. Let me know if you have any other videography-related questions and I'll answer them in 8 months!
