I’ve been coaching for 10 years and have really been emphasizing these looks and techniques. This is an excellent video because it breaks down the actions situationally. Thank you for your time and work on this. 🙏
Coach, 1 question. I know mastering attacking close outs its a must. But in nba’s defense, the help side its useless. I think that in the whole video, no defender from the week side helped his defeated team mate. So buckets were easy. Why do you think that happens in todays nba defense? Of course some good defending teams help very well, such as celtics.
When making this video I searched for driving dunks. So that's why you saw a lot of uncontested drives with minimal help defense. Usually there is rim protecting help. But the NBA rules make that harder than FIBA.
Can you go over the curl dribble? I think that’s what it’s called. When the ball handler splits the D with an in & out but kinda throws it in front of him?
Not a fan of splitting 2 defenders with a dribble, way too risky. If you're inside the 3 point line you can split by gathering the dribble - video on that coming out soon.
