I did background acting for YEARS!! Paid my rent doing it . Made friends, met celebs nice and not so nice and even got to work as a singer - touring and with other artists in different capacities and even in wardrobe all starting out as an extra. Central casting and other background casting agencies. It’s a great way to get your foot in the door and learn on set etiquette and just how production works if you have never been on a set before .
Also remember that with some auditions, yes, they'll be looking for skills and what catches attention is your appearance. If you look similar to what they have in mind for the character you are going for. That's why you hear stories sometimes of actors going for a certain character, but that actually fit another character way better
I got picked to be an extra in a Netflix movie but it was also filming in Massachusetts and that’s where I live so sometimes they film movies in other states y’all so don’t give up !

As someone whose done extra/background work before I love it! My parents both work in film and since I was 7 I’ve been occasionally doing background 1. Get to miss school (there is tutoring sometimes) 2. Get paid 100-300$ really depends how long you’re doing it and what your doing 3. Very fun - there lots of fun background once I got to just ride a carrousel for 1 hour or be in a period show and I got to wear a fancy dress etc 4. Free food craft food can suck sometimes but there lots of it and craft trucks there’s tons of junk food 😉 5. Very EASY you really don’t have to do anything it’s normally just walking or pretending to talk to someone
I just got Backstage and it's pretty good! I have an audition tonight and I'm really excited :D Edit: I got the part and over 300 people auditioned!!! My first rehearsal is this Saturday! Edit 2: It's for a remake of Snow White it won't be on TV it's more of a theatre thing

These videos are amazing and so easy to understand! Back in October, I was in a Netflix film and there were things I needed like my agent and that stuff she explained. This makes me wanna get in more Netflix stuff but no sure many shows or films get recorded around Hull. That was just a lucky moment for me. 🤣
I'm an actress and just got a side part in a broadway show. Its amazing because one of my dads friends is a makeup artist for Lord Of The Rings (Shot in New Zealand, I am in New Zealand) She got me an audition and I got the part! This video was very helpful. it makes me sad because ive been acting since i was 5 practicing , taking notes ect. But my mom wont invest in me. ppl come up to me and my mom telling her to put me in acting ect. But she never does we literally have so many connections to the industry. I always beg her but she ignores, but when it comes to my brother she always tries to invest in him but he doesnt want to do it. :( it sucks when your parents dont believe in ur abilities. your videos are helping me get through this tough time Im gonna keep trying and not give up ... pray 4 me
I know it sucks. I have a problem 'cause I live in Europe and my parents would never move to L.A. or New York or Atlanta for my career. They would support me but they won't invest or travel/move for me.

So I actually went on a casting call before and I made it to the next round. Never had time though to do it and that the classes were REALLY expensive. I’m not sure if I had to do the classes or not but it was great to be noticed by a big company

i wanna just say thank you without this video i wouldn't of got my first job as an extra in an MGM film starring Tiffany Haddish. (also in post-production rn ;)) I drove 12 hours from Michigan to Atlanta Georgia to stay about the whole month of February. After I left I was so sad and didn't want it to end but when I left I knew this is what I wanted to do as my career I just love the atmosphere of it all and the energy and learning everything just ahhh. It truly put a smile on my face and made me feel almost at home if that makes sense. The only struggle right now is finding stuff here in michigan the film industry has been dead here for almost 5 years now so it's really hard not to many places here offer much so the only thing I can think of doing is trying to leave michigan when I can afford it

just found your account and all i can say is wow. i’ve noticed that these days, everything is a competition, especially in big professions with fame involved. the fact that your videos help out other people who are trying to become actors and actresses instead of hiding how you work towards your success is inspiringly selfless. i myself am currently doing tons of research since i’ve recently been taking steps toward my hopefully future “career” of acting, i’ve always enjoyed it but didn’t think i’d ever actually do something about it because of the type of people in the industries. so many adults and even younger actors/actresses are selfish when it comes to advice or help with others who want to make it. like i said, it’s a big competition. but you genuinely want to see people succeed, and you enjoy acting, i admire that a lot, and i feel the exact same way. it’s all a difficult journey, but your videos are extremely helpful when it comes to finding out what i have to do. i wish the best of luck for your career, thank you for everything you’re doing for your subscribers, and if i ever book a nice role, it will all be due to your help. keep on being an amazing human being, and amazing things will come your way.

Hi! I did my auditions today, I was really nervous but the whole process is so fun! ❤ We had the first one with the agents watching our auditions and then we get told later if we get in to the whole movie production and then we shall get told which movie if we get in
