I think I can say thank you on behalf of everyone for what you do for the Miyoo community Keep it up mate! If you allow me, I would like to add to what was said at the end of the video. The same thing happened to me with the SD card, because the basic SD card reader that I got for the Miyoo is just as crappy as the factory SD card lol. So all my data was lost while copying the ROMs.. I would rather recommend a better one!

The no-brand 64GB microSD card that came with my MMv2 still works fine after having installed and updated Onion OS numerous times.

Shem, people always tend to blame others for their own inadequacies. I really hope people don't blame you for arsing-up THEIR installations. I have had my mini for about 5 months or so and every single tutorial vid you have put out has been extremely well informed, presented and easy to follow; especially the ports collections. Excuse me . I need Help. my miyoo gets stuck in the boot logo that's says miyoo. I bough another external micro sd, y tried removing the battery, everything!! how can I fix it? I've waited too long for the device for it to break.

I pressed the middle button while at the main menu and it now it won't shut off no matter how long I hold the power button.

I have a v1 mini that will power on, but will not diplay anything on the screen at all, with or without the sd inserted. I have a known good sd card that I use for flashing firmware on the mini. I always pull the battery and plug in the device when updating the firmware. I've tried upgrading firmware, downgrading firmware to every version avaiable. nothing happens. I thoughtt maybe the ribbon cable to the screen was either not connected or damaged, that isn't the case as I changed out system boards and it displays just fine. The only thing I can think of is the video chip has gone back on the system board.

I just hard bricked my Miyoo Mini trying to install Onion OS 4.0.3. Looking at this video I think my mistake was using the included microSD card to do the installation. I wonder if using a different more reliable card would have worked. I know it's hard bricked because it won't turn on with or without the SD card, the green LED just lights up while I'm pressing down the power button, and my Mini won't boot either way. I'm still not sure how to repair it, tho.

is my device bricked? i installed onion os in the default sd card. then after the installation screen it crashed. then when i turn it on it just shows the miyoo mini title screen then shuts off afterwards. can you help me please?

So after firmware upgrade, it was black screen (no charging). I removed sd card, turned off, turned on and the screen is still all black.

Great informative video. I plan to install OnionOS v. 4.0.3 once I get some time to do so. I would like to know the games you were playing on your Miyoo Mini during this video. Those games looked interesting.

Also this sounds obvious but always make sure you've read all of the steps and re-read them, I've made mistakes by just overlooking something that is easily fixed.

My works kind fun i will say but i notice that not all games work some of them have these green stripes still playable but those green stripes are annoying i dont know if the files are corrupted or something some games can even be load they get stuck in the loading screen specially ps1 games

My miyoo mini plus gets stuck on a game, it won’t let me use the power, menu, or volume buttons but still runs the game, I have to back out thru retro arch, but then no other games will load after that, when I restart I can start a game, gets stuck again, rinse repeat

Hi mine powers on but then only stays on for 30 sec

can you please help me out? my ps1 games that are in pbp format and show their scrape art even will not load up and play on my miyoo mini plus. any idea why? other games still work but the newer ones that i just started adding today and still show the scraped art will not work.

With onion os all ready on it SD card can I swop back to a french one with same bits on it to fix it games only cume up in retroarch

I have onion installed. The game screens load but unplayable. Tried another sd card, still not playable after game loads.

My Miyoo Mini+ is soft bricked, the Onion OS installation goes to 100% on the first part, but them when rebooting, it get stuck in the Miyoo boot screen forever (I mean, I wait for, at least, 2 ou 3 HOURS and nothing happens)

Miyoo Mini is really hard to brick, even if you corrupt the nand there’s a rescue procedure which has been tested successfully (no need to open the console). There’s also a way to reflash it with uart and a raspberry but less easier 😅 I’ll put a link for this rescue procedure. And you’re right , Onion is not a cfw, the miyoo mini is build to run a script on the sd card at the very beginning of the boot : in reality this behavior is dedicated to firmware update but we have diverted this function 😄

I got it from amazon and within 2 hours it hard bricked. I did nothing, I hit reset from a menu because I couldn’t get out of an emulator and it bricked.

I did nothing and once the miyoo mini froze on startup. Since then it just shows the led lights but the screen stays black when i fire it up. The sd works fine on another miyoo

I didnt brick my Miyoo but after updated to 4.3 on my miyoo mini v2 it stopped playing any of my gb and gba games

Day 2 of haveing it all runs but cart load a game at all any help

I need help really bad. I installed minui and bought a 32 gb sandisk micro sd card for it. I downloaded 4 Pokémon rom hacks that were pretty legit. All being linked from the creators of the rom hacks. That being Prism, anniversary Crystal, Crystal Legacy, and Polished Crystal. Now all my roms just white screen when I play them. I tried playing the stock sd card that came with the system and that works fine, even though the quality is significantly lower than my sandisk card. Anyone know how I can fix the white screen issue? Also my device does seem to boot properly without an Sd card. It goes to the stock operating system though which is Retro Arch. And my sd card is FAT32.

I think i may have bricked my united it turns on but doesn't go past the Linux screen. i tried to update the software to the newer version of the os so i could install onion but it wont go past the screen power on screen. is there some way i could fix it.

Already got onion os 4.04 on my miyoo mini and even the launcher logo tweaker.

Don’t think anyone will answer but I just got mine out of the box went to turn it on and nothing, I plug it in using the cable and low volt plug and the green light goes on and turns on to charging screen but it can charge all day and the minute I try to turn it on without being plugged in it does not work don’t know what to do

Hi! I jus got my miyoo in an already bricked state. So I cannot say what process happened to get it this way. But I have done my research. When I turn it on, I get a blue and green light on top, the black light powers on, but does not display anything. I hear the speaker trying to make some kind of sound. So I tried to install a fresh version of Onion OS. To no avail, same story. I ended up following websites to miyoos website and found a link for the black screen repair. You upload it as the only file on the SD card, take battery out of miyoo, enter SD card, and plug into low voltage outlet. Let it sit at least 20 min, disconnect power. And try to boot with SD card out, no battery, only power cord to see if you get a charging display at least. I get nothing.

Hello @retrobreeze I have an issue with the red borders or frames. The low battery hint. Thing is that even when I charge the mini v2 the borders wont go away. Is there any fix for that?

Bro help!!!! LOL....Stock OS loads but screen is lit black. I see the miyoo boot logo for a couple seconds then it goes to a black lit screen. I've tried reinstalling. After a few tries i was able to boot up the stock OS but once i attempt to install onion it goes back to black. I've also tried the "black screen firmware as well as installing latest and older versions of the stock OS. Currently using a 32gb sony SD. Any help is appreciated thanks!
