Can I just say: the fact that you’re already acknowledging the importance of psychosocial health and wellbeing is gonna make you a great doctor. Thank you.
I've been diagnosed with burnout caused by an unhealthy amount of stress at the age of 21 (now 27) and I just want to share my learnings: 1. Sports: the more stressed I am, the more I do HIIT because it helps me put the adrenaline somewhere. If you just go to bed stressed, your body will think that you're still in danger and have to be able to fight anytime. So fight and then sleep. 2. It's okay to be tired and not sleep a lot in stressful phases. Sometimes the brain needs more time to either process what happened throughout the day or prepare for what is coming. This is way more important in order to perform well than sleep. So don't let sleep stress you out more :) 3. Make time for relaxation. Most important one. The more stress you experienced throughout the day, the more time you need to relax actively. Don't come home and watch a movie, but meditate, stretch, self-care... 4. Other than working out the best method to process stress is lying down and doing nothing for hours. Once your brain has processed what is there to process, you'll become incredibly calm and it's easier to reflect and find solutions. 5. We burn out because we burn for something that we care so much about so that we forget about ourselves. Care about yourself more and then after that think about how much you have left to give to others ❤ There are multiple causes of burnout and symptoms can be a lot of things. This is just my personal experience that might help some and not help others :)

Hi Nasir, I am really inspired and enriched with your advise on about burn out. I just have a request to you to make a daily routine video all about what you do everyday from the morning to night Thank you ❤️
Just needed this now. Having a test on saturday, I've already started feeling overwhelmed. When I look to all the medical topics I have to learn by heart in a short time, it just seems to me beyond the realms of possibilities. I keep crying the whole time. Spending my mornings in the hospital and then attending classes. Can't even manage my time to study everything.
I've been studying alone at home for a few years to get into the university and had similar experience. I totally agree and thank you so much for reminding me to be kind to ourselves. It was just sooo right time to meet this video!
I've been preparing for my med school entrance tests and I didn't even realize that I was burnt out until I told my friend how I've been feeling. It honestly really helps when you sit back for a moment and see what is actually going on with you
Another fantastic dose! 👍💯 I've taken up your non-negotiables - things you incorporate into your schedule and then do them no matter what. I've made my daily walks a non-negotiable in my life and it's made an AMAZING difference in my life! It's kept me from burning out and helped me stay sane in all the hectic of my daily life! Thank you for one of the best pieces of advice ever! 👍🤩🌟
I love your videos! I am currently a high school student who strives to one day attend medical school at the University of Washington in the USA! I just recently discovered your channel and am addicted to your tips and suggestions in your videos!
i dont know if u know this but you need to know you do not only motivate med school kids . you motivate everyone,.. be it med kid or engineering or UPSC or anyone for that matter . we all love youuuu .
Thank you for sharing as I started going through this phase due to pressure of upcoming exam and not scoring up to the mark of expected in the last exam . Needed this booster to get started. Bigg Thumbs UP👍👍
New to the channel and this came at the best timing ever 🥺 I am now in my second year of Psychology and in one of my most hectic semesters ever 😱 great insights that would be put to good use for sure 🤩
You are NOT alone if you are burned out. Thank you for sharing your tips Nasir! I also recommend focusing on sleep, moving your body and gaining clarity in life.
Hey nasirrrrr how are you , if you don't know you are the inspiration for many indian med students , thanks very much nasirrr , also please keep posting med vlogs , they motivates us!!!
Just can't tell you how greateful I am to find this video now . Thank you so much for this video. Not focusing on any of the things you mentioned to do , only trying to be productive. Thanks once again , great video 🔥🔥
you opened this channel to get motivated and i always come to your channel to get motivated you made me realise that studying medicine can be so simple and enjoyable thank you nacer i will be sure to use your advice and methods in my first year of medical school
Thank you for this video! Absolutely love the content. I have been getting a bit disappointed that I haven't been able to keep up with your study videos, that is study for 5 - 7 entire hours at a stretch, but now I realize you've been doing this much longer than I have, so it's not a fair comparison :') I now know that the habit forming and the discipline bit will take me awhile and I'm more patient about it. However, I have been able to get so much more work done, so still an excellent win. Thank you for the study videos! :)
Thank you so much sir, as a student irrespective of which subject we study we face or are facing burn outs. This video means a lot to us. Thank you once again for keeping us motivated.
I am currently in freshmen year, your videos really help me motivate my self and remember my goals. My goal has nothing to do with medical school, but I do enjoy your videos among the rest on RU-vid. continue your journey and wishing you a best of luck for, what ever your going to do next. ❤❤❤
I think so Kharma medic fans are the most attentive fans in the category of educational videos like they are so excited for the whole week waiting for Thursday. ✌
Absolutely Perfect , I studied for too long yesterday and as a result I wasn't able to study today , I was just thinking about it 🥰🥰🥰🥰thank you so much brother you have made my student life much more easier . Love from India!!!🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 May God bless you ♥️♥️
I feel like this video has came at the right time for me. I just started a masters and the work is piling up fast! Felt a burnout coming but your advice has gave me the foresight to remember the long term goals 🙌
Hi Nasser, I am one of your most enthusiastic followers. I am excited to study with you every morning in a class where I study with me and I think that you do not leave me all day long😂❤️. I am from Iraq and I am 18 and I study in order to reach medicine and I hope to achieve my dream because you are a motivator and supporter for me. I hope you will continue, and thank you I wish you good luck and success .🥺✨ ربي يوفقك🙏🏻
This video helped me a lot as a Cambridge International AS and A Level student for boosting my productivity quickly without burning out. Thanks for sharing! By watching this video, I knew the importance of taking a rest, relaxing and asking for help while studying. I usually watch RU-vid videos or read blog articles in my free time.
Much needed information 🥴 currently I'm working on my project work, 3rd CAT, Record work, CSIR NET preparation and much more..... I'm stressed out 🥴🤯 Thank you Nasir.... Will try all these steps...
I made my revision of how the 1st year being med student went (on the whole it could be better but also worse). Now step by step I'm trying to change some of my habits and stick to the new ones. I try to be less worry and to study because I want to know these things not because I have exams (and this is in my head but not in first place because if it's,you'll feel very...angry to say hah and worried and where's the joy from studying what you wanted so many years to be accepted). Also I tend to avoid pomodoro,I do other thing-I study one theme and if I feel I understood it,I rest a bit and then continue but often I go on a flow state (Idk how it's called) and study 3 hours straight...on the whole for the day I study 6-7 hours total, the rest. Sometimes I want to but I feel I can't continue and I take rest. Every person should know its identity and limits so to make a plan suitable for him. P.S. Good luck and enjoy the last year, fighting!
This was the Video i was Looking for... Was Just about to Start my Premed Journey "NEET" Will take this Exam next Year in 2022 ..And I pray to god that i Should not get burnt out very often .. So The Word "variety" Comes in.. Thanks NASIR for this.. You just Made my Whole Day! Love You!
@@tegar9617 its a bit difficult, but start in increments like 10 minutes eventually up it by 5 mins, eventually you will get the hang of it. I personally don't follow the pomodoro technique, because I don't want to ruin the study mode with a break. So I follow blocks, I work with a a tiny stopwatch until my goal is finished and then take a break according to how much time it took. I use the 4 hour block method too, I do around 3 blocks plus 2 hours for 14 hours. I usually study within 10-18 hours a day, but I still do not burn out as I am a weightlifter and athlete, so I meditate and exercise, spend time with my sister, family, brother etc. So I hope you understand, set the right mindset. After all, we are executors of our destiny. Courage : Courageous
I’m a bit disappointed that I’m already about to burn out and my 2nd year just started, thanks for this video! And personally I burn out bc I feel guilty for not studying, not because I study too much
Amazing video!! I needed that so much! I am currently in the process to give my last big paper to take my Bachelor Degree in Psychology and it's so hard!
