How To Avoid Fake Instagram Influencers 

This is pure gold. I have a T-shirt line that has an growing organic following on Instagram. I'm lucky that when other ppl see someone in person wearing a shirt I designed, they ask where they got it. They also tag my brand on IG. Recently, I've been getting DM's from "influencers." They have roughly 10-50k followers and they post professional pics wearing different brands. One of them offered to show me (for free) the effect that their post can have on my sales. I sent a few items over and they posted it, and boom... 1,000 likes on their page, and tons of comments. I reposted their pic, and I got about 300 likes and a bunch of nice comments (I usually get about 100). Some of the comments were from verified accounts. However, there wasn't a spike in hits to my website. I also noticed that this person with 30k followers who wore my stuff did not have ONE negative comment. Not one. They get 1000 likes, 60 comments, but my followers and website traffic doesn't jump from the norm? When I mentioned this to this "influencer," he asked for $200 to have a bigger influencer wear my stuff. So basically he's a middleman for an established influencer. I felt something was weird about all of this, but after seeing this video, I'm glad to know how their game really works. I appreciate you, sir.

Been a victim before, but never again. I'm using something called "influencerauditor" to verify if I'm working with the real deal or the real waste of time.

One thing that I like says that even though you find legitimate or ideal influencer.. that doesn't mean you will getting success. Because now as days engagement or impression of the post is not only depends on how many follower you have but it's depends on quality of that post.. if your post is viral type then you will get lots of impression even though you have 10k followers.. on other had your post is not attractive then you will get very few engagement even though you have lots of follower.. Instagram is smarter to detect that which post has good content or quality.. & then that post will shows automatically in explorer section so even though you don't have enough followers you will get good exposure... & Everything opposite will happen with bad post.. my advice is if you give your photo or video to influencer then thought 100 times that my content is really a viral content!!! Bcoz there is not always falt of influencer sometimes there is problem with your post also

Do a video on how to avoid fake companies that want you to promote their brand for free but at the same time you have to buy the stuff they want you to take a picture of to post on your Instagram with a "coupon" code?

wish I would have seen this video a couple of weeks ago, my company just sent out products to several "influencers" with big followings and we got nothing in return, some didn't even post our products on their page, others just have followers from these follow groups. Waste of time and money. It's frustating how many scumbag fake influencers their are.

You can use something like the Influencer Auditor. It can also help in verifying their legitimacy and identifying fake influencers.

Working with Instagram influencers and by doing influencer marketing is great and effective, no question about that. But you need to keep a lookout on fake influencers as they might look the part. Tools like *InfluencerAuditor* can be really effective to check if their real of fake, or probably just a low-quality influencer.

I heared that in germany you can sue them, and get your products and money back which you gave them. And additionally make a bill which should cover the losses they did for your company. Dont know if that works in other countries.

I'm an influencer, a pretty big one at that. Most people fail and sell absolutely nothing on my page when they promote. Know why? Their product is rubbish, the post they want to use is awful, and their website looks completely amateurish. To top it off, many sell exactly what 200 other brands are selling. I think you have a point about fake influencers, but I certainly have not bought a single fake nor am I a part of these engagement groups. But honestly I think many RU-vidrs in this sphere give very unrealistic expectations that leads to a lot of disappointment too. I've seen one saying thousands of likes = thousands of sales. What nonsense is that!

The easiest way to find out whether Influencer is not cheating. "FakeLikesInfo" is the website that will help you out checking bloggers for bots and fakes.
