How to Avoid The UGLY Stage of Dreadlocks

I've been on my loc journey for 7 months now. And I'm currently looking for a loctician who can crochet my locs to make them look a little more uniform. I have straight/wavy hair so it wasn't as easy for me to just braid it and leave it go I had to do the twist and rip method on my hair

I started in August I started with a Spartans I had semi freeform dreads I was 6 months in with semi freeform dreads I got semi freeform dreads Retwist now I am in 2 and half months in with dreads now going to be 3 months i am 3 months in now
